Hiking, listening to nature & enjoying the view The chalet is located in the canton of Valais on the Obermatten foothills above Ergisch at 1500 m above sea level. In summer, the well-known and proud Eringer cows graze next to the chalet. If you are looking for peace and relaxation and love hiking, this chalet with breathtaking views of the Valais mountains is just the place to be, away from mass tourism. Because in Obermatten you are right in the middle of the hiking paradise of the Augstbord region. The space The chalet offers two bedrooms and a kitchen-living room on the upper floor as well as a seating area in front of the house. The bathroom is small and equipped with a bathtub. Since it is in the attic, it is rather unsuitable for larger guests. Charcoal grill is available. The lower floor of the chalet is not inhabited. Free parking: directly by the house However, the Voralpe Obermatten is so centrally located that you can make wonderful day trips - e.g. to Zermatt (Matterhorn) or to the Aletsch area. Or: You can enjoy the thermal baths in Leukerbad or Brigerbad. The property is just under 15 minutes by car from Ergisch. Ergisch has a small grocery store and the restaurant Obermatt, where not only the vacation guests but also the locals like to meet. The chalet is not accessible by public transport.
