The Courtyard Loft, with Japanese Whirlpool Bath

Located on a small equine farm, in the heart of the Peak District, the Courtyard Loft has a truly idyllic setting for a short break. With a balcony facing east, you can sit and watch the sunrise with your morning coffee, head out onto the hills in the afternoon, then relax in the outdoor Japanese whirlpool bath in the evening. This is a beautiful get away just for adults, perfect for romantic breaks in Derbyshire. The space Courtyard Loft is a little slice of luxury in the heart of the beautiful Peak District National Park. Sleeping two, it’s a place for couples to come and get away from it all, take in the views and appreciate the beauty of this location. It has an open-plan lounge and kitchen area, a separate bedroom, and an en-suite bathroom with a shower. There is a balcony with table and chairs to sit and take in the beautiful view as well as a private garden with a Japanese whirlpool bath. We supply a generous welcome hamper of milk, tea, coffee, sugar, cereal, bread and butter. For bookings of two night or more we also include eggs and bacon to get your holiday off to a great start. Guest access There is a free parking space directly at the side of the steps to the holiday cottage, underneath the balcony. Step out of the cottage straight onto the Limestone Way, giving you immediate access to countless walking paths. Explore Robin Hood’s Stride, Stanton Moor, and picturesque nearby villages, all just a short distance away. We’ve designed a dedicated walking route exclusively for our guests — full details are provided inside the cottage. Other things to note Our wonderful Derbyshire location puts you just minutes from the Chatsworth Estate and Haddon Hall, with the lovely market towns of Bakewell, Matlock, Ashbourne, and Buxton only a 10–15-minute drive away. Whether you’re keen on hiking, love a bit of history, or simply want to relax in the beauty of the countryside, there’s so much waiting to be enjoyed. We can also provide a modern Joie travel cot for babies. For safety reasons our property is not suitable for toddling infants or young children. Although we don’t officially list the property as dog-friendly, we’re happy to consider a small, well-behaved, neutered dog that doesn’t shed. To keep things comfortable for everyone, dogs need to be crated overnight, never left on their own, and kept on a lead when outside.
