Gadestatt is a traditional Maiensäss. A Maiensäss is a cultural peculiarity of Swiss history. These simple but beautiful wooden buildings used to be inhabited on the Alps during the summer. From here the cows were guarded and cheese was made from fresh milk. Gadestatt offers you an authentic overnight accommodation with lots of charm and attention to detail. The space The highlight is our romantic outdoor bed. You'll love the exclusive, sunny location, privacy & views. The hut is yours alone during your stay. There is an outdoor fire pit including wood and grill grate. Beautiful hiking and biking trails start right from the hut. Gadestatt has no electricity & no WiFi. We have good Swisscom cell phone reception. Please note that we do not serve meals, and since 2025 we have also stopped offering breakfast. Guest access Gadestatt can only be reached by car via a toll mountain road. Guests must register with us before arrival in order to gain access. Guests appreciate the privacy very much. If you are looking for a romantic place in the mountains, in beautiful nature, don't hesitate to book Gadestatt. In the immediate vicinity are grocery shops, good restaurants, public transport connections and many sports and leisure activities in a beautiful setting. Free private parking.
