Our family-owned property offers a boutique experience, where every detail is thoughtfully curated for your comfort. As our one and only Airbnb, we are dedicated to making your stay special! The space Our Queen Anne style home is among the few remaining original homes of Houston and has a rich history, dating back to the 1880s. After immigrating from Sicily, our great-grandparents purchased the property and added a convenience store to the front in the 1950s, which they proudly ran for 30 years. Now, as the 4th generation to live here, we've lovingly transformed the old store into a studio apartment which is now affectionately named the 'Storehouse Studio.' Every detail was thoughtfully crafted with our guests in mind, making it a unique and welcoming space. This cozy 315-square-foot studio offers complete privacy and is located at the front of the main house, with only one external wall attached to the main roof. With its own private entrance and a reserved off-street parking space, you'll have everything you need for a comfortable stay. The studio is fully equipped to make you feel right at home: a bathroom with a relaxing garden soaking tub, a washer and dryer, and a kitchen stocked with all the essentials—including a gas stove, pots, pans, silverware, microwave, olive oil, and spices. You'll also find a refrigerator with an ice maker, a dining table, a built-in desk with a reading light, and a comfortable queen-size bed in the main open area. For your entertainment, there's a smart TV connected to our Hulu subscription which includes Live TV, Paramount+, SHOWTIME, CINEMAX®, STARZ® and HBO Max or you can log into your own streaming services. The studio is climate-controlled with a Mitsubishi ductless A/C and heater, adjustable by remote near the bed. If you drive an electric vehicle, there's a Type 2 charger with an RFID card available near the guest driveway. And no need to worry about power outages as this listing is equipped with a full-home Generac generator to keep everything running smoothly, even during unexpected weather events. Plus, you'll have a dedicated WiFi hotspot with the password sent to you as soon as you book! Our family’s garage and parking are located at the back of the home, separate from the Airbnb parking area. We typically enter and exit through a gated entrance at the rear. The front door to our portion of the property features a Google doorbell with a camera for monitoring deliveries, along with a camera facing the front yard and street. For safety reasons, we have cameras in the backyard that overlook the windows to all of our children's bedrooms. Additionally the back yard cameras overlook our back door, backyard and parked cars. Rest assured, there are no cameras in the Airbnb studio patio area and Airbnb strictly prohibits indoor cameras. Your patio and studio space are completely separate and private. Occasionally, you might see one of our kids outside doing their chores, like checking the mail or taking out the trash! Guest access Come and go on your schedule! You'll have your own private entrance directly from the street, with a reserved driveway right in front of the studio. When you arrive, just head through the wooden gate on the left to enter the studio's peaceful patio. The front door, equipped with a smart lock, will be waiting for you. We’ll set the access code to the last four digits of your cell phone number, so there's no need to worry about keeping track of a key or remembering a random code—just easy, stress-free access! Other things to note -The Storehouse Studio accommodates 2 overnight guests in one bed. There is space for a pack and play (provided by us) for those traveling with an infant and outlet plugs available by request. -Our maximum stay length is 7 days. Kindly refrain from sending inquiries for long-term or month-to-month rentals as we are a vacation rental property only. -Please use black towels provided for makeup, hair products, or cleaning to avoid staining.
