Seaview apartment, Balos beach

If you are seeking a close connection with the sea in a relaxing natural haven, a newly renovated beachside apartment awaits you at Balos, on the south of the island where you can find peace and tranquility in natural beauty and enjoy views across the Aegean sea to the neighbouring islands of Samiopoula, Patmos, Fourni and Ikaria. The space This newly renovated ground floor apartment offers a welcoming and comfortable space, steps away from the sea. There is a bright spacious fully equipped kitchen with seating area, shower room and hall leading to the bedroom with a double and single bed. There is also a patio at the front of the property where you can sit under the shade of a tree and enjoy the sea view. The house was originally used by the owner’s grandfather and had a dry store for onions; in a corner of the kitchen a few of the original items remain. Large quantities of onions, known for their sweetness, were exported by boat to other islands years ago. Each year in August, Balos hosts the “Onion Feast” where you can have the opportunity to taste many recipes with onion, plenty of wine and enjoy dancing and live music.
