The pictures don't quite do it justice. It's a beautiful, spacious cottage, paintstakingly restored from an old animal out-house. The living room is much bigger than I expected and there's a beautiful wood stove right in the centre (In saying that we only used the stove once because Des has made sure that the cottage is always at a decent temperature). He also keeps the place immaculately clean. Communication was fantastic and on arrival the basics of bread, milk, butter, etc. had been left out for us which were much appreciated. The location is perfect. It's just outside of Corofin, but because it's down a private lane it feels a lot more remote. The house sits on a lake where it's quiet and peaceful. In front of the house is a small earthen bank which protects the house from wind and also gives it a bit more privacy. I'd say in the summer it'd be nicer again with room behind the house to sit and relax. We got a bit of nice weather for March and we enjoyed our stay so much that we booked to stay on an extra night. There are a few other properties beside this house, which Des let me have a look at and I have to say that they're all equally impressive. This is a highly recommended property.”
