Cozy lakefront cottage, now with hi speed wifi!

*Discounted 3% to cancel out state STR taxes* Welcome to Loonsong! This is our family vacation home with 300+ ft of private shoreline on Valley Lake. This 4 season home has all the amenities for a comfy getaway to central Vermont: full kitchen, deck, sunroom, kayaks and more! There are hiking trails nearby and Hardwick (10-15 min drive) has grocery stores and small restaurants. Vermont's state capital, Montpelier, with more shopping and dining is 30 min away. The space The cottage sits on just over an acre of beautifully tended grounds with a private shoreline and Adirondack chairs by the water. Two single kayaks, 1 aluminum rowboat, and lifejackets in all sizes are available for your use. High speed fiber internet (100+ mbps), TV and DVD player, and washer/dryer are available for your use. However, we are in an area with a lot of trees and a fallen tree could potentially knock out the internet. There is no TV service, phone land line or cell service. We provide a Roku TV that can be used in Guest mode with your own Roku subscription, and a Chromecast. The utility company has a light on the electricity pole by the driveway. Light filters into the master bedroom during the night. Please bring an eye mask or do not book if you require complete darkness to sleep. Guests do not have access to: the motorboat, the basement, the sheds, and an upstairs locked owner’s closet. The swim raft is not in service at this time; please do not move it from the shoreline. Though 30 minutes from Montpelier and 45 minutes from Stowe, our happiest guests enjoy the lake and local areas with some day trips to Stowe and/or Burlington mixed in. Guest access There is plenty of parking on the gravel driveway. Please do not park on the grass as the septic system is under the lawn. There is a walkway from the driveway up to the house. The entire property is yours to enjoy. Other things to note After mid-October, all outdoor furniture and boating equipment are put into winter storage and are not available, including but not limited to: all boats, outdoor deck dining furniture, the gas grill, and lawn chairs. The covered sunroom remains available for guest use. In case of snow, we will shovel a path for your arrival but do not maintain the path during your stay. We leave shovels by the front door for you to keep a path clear. We have a snow plow service that comes by to plow from the mailboxes on Willow Road up to the driveway but the snow depth needs to be a few inches before the plowing service comes by.
