N.A. Green Farm

The space Have you ever dreamt of spending a few days at the farm...? Or dreamt of relaxing in a fruit garden, among mango, banana and coconut trees? If your answer to both questions is yes... We have THE place for you. Welcome to N.A. Green Farm, a farmstay in a greeeeeeen garden, where Jegan will definitely make you taste fresh milk early morning, fry a few fresh eggs for your breakfast, feed you with organic fruits... The guests' room is in Jegan's home, and can accommodate 2 to 3 people. The room is non A/C, equipped with a double bed, a fan and a mosquito net. A single bed can be added on request. The room has attached western style toilets and access to a fully fenced outdoor bathroom, to take your shower under the stars... Guest access The house comprises a dining place, a veranda and a sitting room with TV. The surrounding garden is a perfect spot to relax with your favorite book. Other things to note To enjoy your stay at the farm and understand its daily routine, you are requested to stay a minimum of 2 nights so that you can get a full-day at the farm. Additionally, we can propose some additional activities and packages for 3-4 nights / 2-3 days (or more!) with bicycle rides and excursions organized by East N' West on Board in and around Batticaloa. Meals will generally be prepared by Jegan's neighbour, on woodfire, and will be typical village food (without chilly if needed, don't worry...). There is a water filter that filters and chlorinates the water, so it is perfectly safe for you to drink it. Jegan usually filters the water and puts it in the fridge so that anytime, you can get safe and cool drinking water. We encourage the guests to refill their bottles and drink this water, to save money, and the environment... Gentle reminder: what you are about to book is a homestay, not a guesthouse or a hotel. Please stay with us for the right reasons! Our hosts, who are carefully selected by our field team, are newly introduced to the hospitality sector. They are simply beautiful human beings having this “something special” that makes us believe that you will enjoy sharing a moment of their lives. To be accommodated by a local family is a unique experience. Families welcome you at their home, which enable you to grasp a bit of the local lifestyle, but which also bears limitations. Please read carefully the description of the facilities and understand what you plan to book. Local houses generally have rooms that are quite small, which is adapted to the local families’ lives, but might be uncomfortable for guests coming from wealthier contexts. Therefore if you need large rooms, luxury beds or hot water and this is obviously not described in the listing, we do encourage you to find a place which is more convenient for your material needs, rather than booking one of our homestays with expectations that cannot be met in a family home and ending up dissatisfied.
