Description
Homely, family-friendly self-catering lodge at Perthi with central heating and floor-to-ceiling windows framing views of the Eryri (Snowdonia) mountains. Set just above Beddgelert on a working mountain farm in a peaceful rural setting, only a 7-minute drive from the Rhyd Ddu Snowdon path, with walks available directly from the doorstep. The space Tŷ Pren is a comfortable self-catering lodge with two bedrooms, making it well suited to families or small groups. The accommodation is arranged on one level once inside, following a small number of steps at the entrance. The lodge features an open-plan living, dining and kitchen area, a shower room, and a separate toilet, providing added convenience for families and longer stays. Large floor-to-ceiling windows bring in plenty of natural light and offer views across the surrounding countryside and mountains. Patio doors open onto an outdoor seating area where guests can relax and enjoy the setting. Reliable fibre Wi-Fi is available, suitable for streaming, video calls and remote work. A washing machine and tumble dryer are available for guest use in an outbuilding approximately 50 metres from the cottage. Guest access Free off-road parking is available directly next to the lodge. There is a footpath down to Beddgelert from the property. Allow around 10 minutes to walk downhill to the village and approximately 20 minutes to return uphill. Parts of the route can be uneven or boggy after wet weather, so suitable footwear is recommended. Alternatively, guests can park at the bottom of the farm track and walk into the village along the main road, which is only a few hundred yards. Other things to note Tŷ Pren is well located for walking, cycling and exploring Snowdonia National Park, with easy access to Snowdon (Yr Wyddfa) via the nearby Rhyd Ddu path. The surrounding area offers a wide range of walking routes, from gentle woodland and valley walks to more challenging mountain paths. Mountain biking is available in Beddgelert Forest, with additional routes at the Marin Trail near Betws-y-Coed and Plas y Brenin near Dolgellau. Guests can also enjoy exploring the wider area, including lakes, forests and historic sites, as well as the beaches of the Llyn Peninsula and Anglesey, which are within easy driving distance.
