Hello, this is Guesthouse Ittan, run by my husband from Nara Prefecture. The inn is near the ancient temple "Hasedera", which Nara Prefecture is proud of. Hasedera Temple is located in the middle of the mountains and is a temple with many attractions, such as the "Flower Temple", the "8th stop on the Shikoku 33 Pilgrimage", the "399 Steps", and the "Largest wooden Kannon in Japan". In particular, the "morning service" held every morning is a valuable service that has been going on for more than a thousand years. In the clear early morning air, the sound of drums and powerful, gorgeous statements echoing through the grounds is like live entertainment! It's a very nice experience to start a fresh morning. It takes about 40 minutes and the participation fee is 500 yen (including the entrance fee). The morning service starts at 6:30 am from April to September and 7:00 am from October to March. It is a difficult time to participate from other areas, so please try to participate when you stay. There is also good access to Muroji Temple, Daijin Shrine/Miwayama, Yamanobe no Michi, Asuka, Ouda, and Yoshino.
