Newberry Wood guest house is tucked among North Devonshire woodland & countryside within secluded, spacious gardens and with spectacular views out to sea & over the hills of Exmoor National Park. Situated on the South West coast path with excellent transport links & only a 10 minute walk to the local beach & village of Combe Martin where you will find a great selection of shops, cafes & pub restaurants. Parking is available on a spacious private driveway & a continental breakfast is included. The space This newly renovated 1930's property offers clean & cosy individually styled rooms show casing lovingly restored original features, luxury linens & tea making facilities. Additionally all of our rooms have smart TV's with internet connection, wifi, bedside USB charging and shaver socket. Our superior bedroom enjoys glorious sea and Exmoor views and has access to a small shared balcony. The room has a luxury king bed and its own 1930's style vanity basin as well as sharing a luxury family bathroom with free standing bath and large walk in shower with one other bedroom. There is also a downstairs cloak room for guest use. Breakfast includes fresh pastries, toast and local preserves, granola, muesli and other cereals, locally made cheese and locally produced ham, yogurt, fresh fruit juice and a selection of teas and coffee. Please let us know in advance should you have any special dietary needs and we will do everything we can to cater for them. On warmer days breakfast may be enjoyed al fresco on the patio and always with views out over the Bristol channel where on a clear day it is possible to see the South Welsh coastline and Swansea. Free parking for all our guests is available on a spacious private driveway. Please note however that we can only accommodate one car per room booked. If you require more than one car parking space per room booked please contact us in advance and we will try to make this possible for you. During your stay We will endeavour to greet you on arrival and someone will always be here to check you in between the normal check in times of 4-6pm. If you will be arriving outside of these times or are running later than expected please let us know in advance. Once you have checked in you will be given a key to your room(s) and to the main entrance so that you can come and go as you please. Your guest room is private but all other rooms in the house are non accessible to guests with exception of getting to and from your room and during breakfast time. You are welcome to explore the garden at any time but please beware of slippery surfaces, steep and unlevel steps and fall risks in parts of the woodland garden at the rear of the house. It should also be noted that our house is resident to two much loved and very sweet natured British Short Hair cats, Arthur and Drogon. Although every care is taken to not allow these two scoundrels into our guest rooms we advise that this property is not suitable to persons with an allergy or general aversion to felines.
