Self-contained, one-bed studio apartment with kitchen. Private entrance to Living / Bedroom. Queen-Size Bed, Bedside Drawers with Lamps, Foldaway Dining Table / Sky Q / Apple TV, Private WiFi, Desk, Draw unit, Wardrobe, Motorised Reclining 2-Seater Suede Sofa. Kitchen: Kettle, Hob, Oven, Fridge (no freezer), Microwave, Toaster, Washing Machine, Iron, Mini Ironing Board, Clothes Drying Rack, Plates, Utensils, etc. Shower Room: Corner Cubicle with Bi-Fold Door, Saniflow Toilet / Waste System. The space The accommodation is described by guests as 'cosy' comprising of contemporary furniture plus decoration and fabrics of creams and browns. The property host is a keen gardener. The half-acre, well stocked grounds have participated in the Yellow Book National Open Garden Scheme which raises money for charity. Guests are welcome to roam both it and the limestone Tan-yr-Ogof hill (670 ft) which borders the property to the rear and is accessed via a gate. The kitchen / bathroom of the accomodation is built into the hillside, so the absence of natural light there assists in providing the apartment with a cozier feel. From September to December, 2020 and 2021, the apartment was home to a senior member of ITV’s 'I'm A Celebrity … ' production team. The series was based at Gwrych Castle, which is a pleasant walk away from our property. We welcome cyclists and can provide secure storage of equipment. EV Charging is via a standard 13Amp outlet in the garage. Use of this facility is available by prior arrangement and an additional fee, currently at £10.00 per day. Guest access Access to the pathway which leads to the apartment is via twelve steps up from the guest parking area adjacent to the accommodation's private entrance. For those with restricted mobility, this would make access an issue. There are a further four metal grated steps to the front door. These are impractical for dog access so we cannot accommodate pets. The property is in an elevated, semi-rural location. There is some automatic security lighting but for guests who may be entering or leaving the accommodation after dark, a torch may be advisable. There is no bath in the bathroom - only a shower. This makes it impractical for accommodating infants. Other things to note We apologise but the inside of the property is STRICTLY NO SMOKING. (There is a small patio by the entrance which smokers are welcome to use). This includes ALL forms of smoking including tobacco, vaping, shisha and other substances. An additional charge will be made for odour removal for any breaches of this house rule. A SANIFLOW drainage system operates in both the shower room and kitchen. This is checked after each guest visit. It costs a minimum of £150.00 to rectify damage to it. So, we respectfully ask guests to make absolutely sure that no food or other waste is put down the kitchen sink and that only human waste and the toilet tissue provided are disposed of down the toilet. Anything else (sanitary products, disposable wipes, etc.), WILL cause damage.
