The 1st Flat is as charming as it is comfortable, and provides guests with the opportunity to slip into life in our community and experience it like local, with a gorgeous historic apartment as the home base for your wine country adventures. To help you ease into life in McMinnville, we’ll welcome you with a bottle of our own 3rd Street Flats pinot noir and our favorite locally made sea salt caramels. We want to get your taste buds into the spirit of things as soon as you arrive! While we may be new to Airbnb, we’ve been hosting guests in downtown McMinnville for ten years, and have rave reviews on various sites. The 1st Flat: Pied-a-Terre, is part of 3rd Street Flats, our boutique lodging company, which is comprised of 11 beautiful flats in two historic buildings, both right on Third Street, steps from 35 restaurants and 18 tasting rooms, including wine, beer and distilled beverages. Driven by a passion for our community and using the feedback from thousands of guests over the years at 3rd Street Flats, in 2018 my partners Brian, Ben and I chased our dreams and ventured into the hotel world when we opened the Atticus Hotel, a luxury lifestyle hotel also located in the heart of Historic Downtown McMinnville. Guests at 3rd Street Flats have the chance to enjoy the same great location and service as our hotel guests, but with the added independence of having a full apartment—including a well appointed kitchen—in one of McMinnville’s most historic buildings. All guests at 3rd Street Flats have access to both the Atticus Hotel’s 24-hour concierge team, as well as the hotel gym. We also encourage our guests to venture in for a drink at the bar, or an unforgettable dinner at Cypress. Our combined 3rd Street Flats & Atticus Hotel teams deliver unparalleled hospitality every single day, from our housekeeping team to our concierge. If you need something, we’re always there to help with a smile, 24/7. The 1st Flat: Pied-a’-Terre is one of four flats that occupy the entire second story of the Historic McMinnville Bank, which was built in 1886 and has been home to everything from a bank to a business college and a butcher shop over the years. Today the ground level is home to the beloved local institution, The Bitter Monk, which is a craft beer tasting room. The 1st Flat has been lovingly renovated, with a careful eye for keeping all of it’s wonderful historic features (13 foot ceiling and AMAZING wood work) and going green with the rest, including bamboo floors and gorgeous Paperstone counters in the kitchen (made from 100% post consumer recycled paper). The flat has a cozy living room which opens to the kitchen and dining area, as well as a lovely bedroom with a full bathroom. Airbnb does not collect the mandatory 10% City of McMinnville Lodging tax. We will be calling you within 24 hours of your arrival to collect that fee from you. This flat is located on the 2nd floor of the Historic McMinnville Bank Building, accessible by a flight of stairs. We do not have elevator access. Guest access You will have complete access to your flat during your stay. In addition to your flat, you also have access to the gym and all public spaces at the Atticus Hotel. Other things to note 3rd Street Flats does not provide daily cleaning service, however should you desire this for a longer stay please contact us and we can arrange an additional cleaning. We work to provide our guests with a fabulous independent travel experience and plenty of hospitality, including 24 hour access to the concierge team at the Atticus Hotel, for assistance both before and during your stay. As such we provide you with wine and chocolate on arrival and a complete guide to your flat, so you know how everything operates. We also provide you with the Atticus Hotel's custom bath and body products, a starter supply of coffee & tea, hairdryer, etc. Your flat will come with one set of towels for each guest, but if you need fresh towels during your stay, please let us know.
