Description
Manoir Delarue is an elegant bed and breakfast/gite, with French vintage charm. A perfect escape in the bucolic countryside of Auvergne. Nestled between the Foret des Colettes and the Gorges de la Sioule, is our small village of Nades. This quiet region of France, north of the Massif Central, has a unique charm with preserved medieval villages, castles and historic towns on a backdrop of rolling hills, rivers and pretty farmland. All 4 rooms also available to rent as a superb gite for 9 people. The space Opposite our house, Manoir Delarue, and on the other side of the terrace, is our 18th century coach house consisting of three large ensuite bedrooms on the first floor, each accomodating 2 guests, and a fourth on the ground floor with private terrace entrance, accomodating 3 guests. After 8 years of restoration and renovation, we have created an exceptional B&B without masking the character of the property. The coach house has been sympathetically renovated with vintage French furniture, timeless decor and beautiful natural materials such as oak, natural stone and slate, creating a harmonious and relaxing space for our guests. The coach house is accessed via bifold doors from the terrace, directly in to the open plan sittingroom/dining room. The modern, fully equipped kitchen is for guest use and coffee/tea/soft drinks are always available. This beautiful vaulted space with impressive oak carpentry, is where guests can relax after a day out, or read about things to do in the area in the mezzanine library. The interior and exterior meet on our large terrace which offers many shady places to relax and enjoy the old English roses and honeysuckle, like under the old willow. There is also a BBQ available for guests if Gabrielle is not serving dinner. Step off the terrace and enjoy our large park garden with mature trees for shade, vegetable patch and chicken run. Excellent and generous breakfast provided. Local villages have inspired the bedroom names in the coach house. Each bedroom has been decorated and furnished in an individual style with lots of French vintage charm. Every bedroom has exposed beams and solid oak or natural stone flooring - 3 rooms have a large modern walk-in shower in the bathroom, and the fourth ensuite has a jacuzzi bath. Please note during the 'Grand Vacances' of July and August, single rooms may only be available for 2 nights minimum, due to high demand, please contact us directly for information on availability. 'Chouvigny' is an Elegant, light and airy room with magnificent oak beams overhead. Enjoy the view over the terrace and the fragrance of the honeysuckle growing under the floor-to-ceiling window from one of the vintage French armchairs. Open plan to generous shower room behind a curved wall for your privacy. Solid oak flooring, vintage French furniture and a four poster king size bed (160x200) contrast beautifully with the contemporary décor. WIFI throughout, plenty of local information, tea and coffee facilities, toileteries. Cots and high chairs available on request. 25sqm/270sqf Guest access Enjoy our large park garden.
