The Dairy is a restored 19th century Sussex dairy set within Hastingford Farm, a medieval farmstead surrounded by meadow and mature landscape. Created for slower stays and restorative escapes, it blends historic character with contemporary comfort. Large doors open onto a private terrace overlooking the water meadows, while natural materials and a woodburning stove create a warm and relaxing retreat for two. The space The Dairy has been thoughtfully restored to retain the simplicity and texture of the original building while introducing the comfort needed for contemporary stays. The open plan living space is centred around large glazed doors overlooking the water meadows, natural light together with open views create a seamless connection to the landscape beyond. The kitchen is fully equipped for slower mornings and relaxed dining, while the lounging area is a comfortable place to settle with a book, music or an evening beside the fire. Featuring a king-size bed and luxury linens, the bedroom has been designed with comfort and rest in mind, while soft morning light and glimpses of sky beyond bring a gentle start to the day. The bathroom has been designed with the same calm simplicity, combining natural materials, a large walk-in shower and underfloor heating to create an environment that feels clean, warm and thoughtfully considered. Outside, a private terrace overlooks the fields beyond, offering space for morning coffee, outdoor dining and long, relaxed evenings. Guest access The Dairy is detached and set away from the Farmhouse, your parking is adjacent to the building. Keypad access. Other things to note The Dairy is one of two beautiful conversions on our property, the other being The Longhouse which also sleeps only two guests and is another amazing destination for a relaxing break. Both have their own private outside space and whilst being relatively close and enjoying the same views they remain very private from one another. Please note that mobile phone reception is limited however wifi calling is accessible. Unfortunately not safe or suitable for children or infants. No extra guests or visitors unless by prior arrangement please. We are a non smoking or vaping property. No dogs or pets. There is one step down into the shower room. Please be aware that we are adjacent to a small Sussex farm and as such there may occasionally be the chance of farm related noise for example from a tractor, chainsaw, grass cutting, sheep etc. No parties or filming. There is the occasional chance of a power outage here at The Dairy normally due to adverse weather. Whilst rural we do experience traffic along our country lane during commuting hours.
