Casa Mimosa is a semi-detached house of a row of 4 hauses (corner) above Gerra, 200m above the lake level. The house offers excellent opportunities to enjoy the beauty of Ticino. Be it on the terrace with garden and the magnificent view of the lake, a dip in the communal pool or the perfect location for excursions to Locarno/Ascona or Italy. All towns in Ticino can be reached by car in 45 minutes. The space The ground floor contains a spacious dining and living room with open kitchen, fireplace and a huge (convertable) sofa; plus a separate toilet. The living room opens to the big terrasse and garden, with the gorgeous view over the Lago Maggiore. The first floor has two small bedrooms (one with a bunk bed, the other with a small double bed) with access to the balcony; as well as a third big bedroom with double bed. Guest access Guests have use of the entire house and have access to a pool that is shared with 12 other parties in the residential comple. From the parking lot, 75 steps lead down to the house. Although the house can also be reached by public transport (10 minutes), we recommend arriving by car, as the nearest store is down in the village by the lake. Other things to note Arriving by car from the north: 1. Take Autobahn A2 until Bellinzona Sud, direction Locarno 2. Follow signpost Locarno/Gambarogno approx. 7.5 km until the roundabout. 3. In the roundabout (with airport symbol) take the left line in direction Dirinella, Magadino, Dogna. 4. After 500 m there is another roundabout, take 2nd exit Luino/Gambarogno. 5. After 8.5 km you’ll see the signpost ‘Gerra’. 6. 600 m after the sign Gerra take a left in direction Piazzogna/Vairano/Ronco. 7. After this, drive 1.1 km (pass the sign ‘Ronco’) and take a right into the (via ai monti)-> mirror on the left side. (Here you find the closest bus station, Ronco Paese) The house is 200m above the lake level and the road up is in some places too narrow to cross with oncoming vehicles. Sometimes it is necessary to cross with the bus. 8. Drive 600 m and take another right (you’ll see the rubbish containers in the corner). 9. After 300 m you have reached your destination. On the right side there are 12 Parking spaces (underneath the Pergola). The parking lot belonging to the Casa Mimosa is the 9th (first after the stairs leading to the house). Additional parking spaces are approx. 100 m further up the street on the right side. This require a parking permit (card red/blue), which you will find in the house, to be placed in the windscreen. 10. Casa Mimosa is on the left block down the stairs (75 steps). You’ll see a statue of Venus in the garden watching from above and a pottered turtle "guarding" the entrance to the house. Registration Details NL-00001866
