Waun Yscir is perfectly situated in the tranquil Yscir valley, just a 20 minute drive from the traditional market town of Brecon. With panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and perfect star-filled skies, it's the perfect place to get away from it all. Come and book a visit to our PYO flower farm just down the road! Opening summer 2026. The space Waun Yscir is fully equipped with everything you need for a peaceful and restorative break. The garden is fully enclosed so it's perfect for inquisitive pooches. The meadow that adjoins the garden is ours and guests are free to walk their dogs in there as long as there is no livestock in the meadow. Enjoy the beautiful rural views out of every window and spot the Red Kites soaring overhead. The woodburner is a great bonus on those cold winter nights when you can draw the curtains and snuggle up in front of a warm fire. Alternatively a dip in our open air hot tub is sure to warm the cockles! **Please note that whilst we'll do our best to ensure the hot tub is ready for the night of your arrival, it may not be up to temperature if we've had a group leave that morning. We follow a stringent cleaning regime with our hot tub which is regularly emptied, cleaned and refilled.** **Important: Whilst Wifi is generally perfectly serviceable, please DO NOT rely on good connectivity to do work. The cottage is for holidays, not home working and we make no guarantees whatsoever with the strength/speed of the internet.** Guest access We have a picturesque and fully enclosed garden with sensational panoramic rural views. There is a patio with a hot tub where you can enjoy a glass of bubbly and a BBQ in the summer and a lawned area perfect for children and dogs. Guests are welcome to walk in the meadow adjoining the property as long as there is no livestock in there. Other things to note Livestock populate the surrounding countryside so please treat them with respect and care. Dogs are most welcome at Waun Yscir but they must be kept on a lead near livestock, particularly during lambing season. We reserve the right to ask guests to leave immediately if dogs are found to be harassing livestock. There is an additional charge of £25 per pet which is typically paid in cash on departure. *We provide basics such as 3 x loo rolls, washing up cloth, washing up liquid, hand soap, dishwasher tablets and cleaning products to get you started. If you need anything else then the nearest supermarkets are in Brecon.
