You are 5mins from chic Teddington High with boutique shops and a great selection of restaurants. Lovely pubs in Teddington are the Kings Head on the high st and the Teddington Arms. Along the river you have The Anglers. In Hampton Wick you have The Foresters and The Swan. The Railway Pub next to Teddington station. A great spot to be close to London, but in a green and friendly suburban neighbourhood that is away from the hub-bub of the big smoke and a good launch pad for exploring England, especially the south coast. Numerous train links to London Waterloo are direct in 35mins from either Teddington or Hampton Wick. Direct links to jubilee line on the underground for the Olympic village from Waterloo. Southbank, Soho, Mayfair and central London all within 45 minutes away and Richmond, Twickenham and Putney 15 mins away. Richmond for shopping is fab and just 3 stops away by train. We are also 7 mins from M3 which takes you down to the south coast in 1.5hrs. Just over Kingston bridge which is 7 mins away you will find places to eat along the riverbank, a shopping district to rival central London with all the main stores and none of the tourists; the Bentalls centre and John Lewis department store both great for shopping. Closest food shops are Co-op, which is 5 minutes around the corner. Tescos which is a 5 minute drive on Broad st or M&S on the high street. The Rose Theatre has a range of shows from comedy to theatre and children's productions. Not forgetting Twickenham, home of English rugby which is 20 minutes away by bus. All in all, a lovely place to visit and tons to do especially for kids. My two love it here! You can hire bikes around the corner at Moores Cycles to get around along the river path to Richmond or Hampton court and Easy Molesey. For boat trips along the river, you have the Go Boats in Kingston along the river. Also, taggs boatyard. The house had a double reception room downstairs, large deep comfy sofa in front reception room, stylish white leather sofa in second reception room with desk for laptop and printer. Kitchen /diner to seat 6 and 4 bar stools around kitchen island. All Open plan living space and very tastefully decorated with a comfortable homely feel throughout. Full use of all kitchen appliances. One main bathroom on second floor serving two bedrooms including washing machine and dryer. Please make use of dry goods in cupboards. Internet connection, cable TV. Lovely easy maintenance grassed garden with shaded decking area with table and chairs to accommodate up to 8.
