Pure and ecological - apartment in the Zarchlin manor house

Apartment is located on the upper floor of the manor house in historically named Fronte Spice, the gable above the main entrance. It consists of a spacious living-dining room and a bedroom with ensuite shower room. In this apartment, everything was attributed to the origin. Paint off walls and beams, plaster from clay and lime; then carefully restored with a little modern twist. It is a unique experience to feel the pure and pure of ecological materials. The space In the outskirts of the village, the manor house stands on a 3-hectare, park-like property on the edge of the Mecklenburg Lake District. It was built in 1879 and has been renovated by us since 2017 according to the highest possible ecological standards. Clay and lime plasters adorn the walls again, while linseed oil paints refresh the 150-year-old original windows. According to the motto "Monument meets Zeitgeist", however, we did not want to forego modern comfort and have carefully introduced it into the listed substance. Modern ensuite bathrooms pair with refurbished timbered beams, comfortable beds and original plank floors. In between you will find one or the other design furniture, the historicism chair or a self-creation. Each apartment has been renovated and designed with much (very much) dedication. They all have a wonderful view of the countryside. Bird chirping will not only sweeten your morning, because our little forest chick will also sing to you in the evening. Each apartment in the house, except for the two garden suites, which are directly connected to the comfort of the communal kitchen, has a generously equipped kitchen with Smeg induction hobs and WFM kitchen equipment. The manor house has always been a place of community. Originally built as a residence of the landlord family, there were already then also various guest rooms, a classroom, bedrooms for the housekeepers and rooms for the organization and management of the estate. At that time, the manor kitchen we restored had 9 cookers, its own well and plenty of space for food. Under the roof is still today the old smoking chamber, in which stock for the whole village was made. In the time of the socialist GDR were danced here at weddings and various other festivals. The house was also used for living, as well as as a neighborhood workshop and consumption. The latter unfortunately brought us the conversion of the main entrance, the monumental dismantling of the loading ramp is still pending here. (At a time when you are not there.) So we want to let this spirit of communication and commonality live on in the house: In addition to the apartments, there are some common areas in the house. The old manor kitchen was rebuilt as a communal kitchen and is available to every guest at the main,- until after season. Due to pandemics, we rent out the farmhouse kitchen apartment in the low season (Oct-April) as an independent, large apartment with the two adjoining suites. A Smeg Range Cooker, the open kitchen design with a large kitchen block, a generous dining table and the old fountain, which we have reactivated, provide the basis for joint cooking sessions. There is also a music rehearsal room, a seminar room and a large hall with its own generously equipped kitchen for a variety of meetings. In addition, the seasonally planted vegetable beds offer you basics and fiber for your cooking skills. If that's not enough, discover Giersch, Gundermann and mushrooms in the park. On the large communal terrace with a variety of seating and lying options, you can do nothing with dedication. Our small home consumption offers not only information about the area, but also soon drinks for young and old and basics for self-catering. Basically, we hope that our guests will quickly feel at home. Since we recently moved all the way from Berlin to Mecklenburg and also live in the house ourselves, we will take ambitious care of your well-being. We look forward to your impressions, input and suggestions. So far, the first 4 apartments /suites are ready, another 5 will follow.
