Janine's Beach House, Cape St Francis

Your holiday is right on the Cape St Francis swimming beach. We have our own path to the most magnificent beach in the world. Run, swim, surf, cycle, hike, play, relax, - you choose! The family house looks out at Seal Point - a surfer's paradise! In no time at all you will be having the time of your life. It is great for families, or round up your friends. There are 6 double bedrooms and a loft (suitable for over age 5). The loft has 4 mattresses. The space This comfortable family house is situated right on the swimming beach at Cape St Francis. The living area of the house is a spacious, open-plan kitchen, dining and lounge area, which leads onto the verandah, where outdoor meals can be consumed whilst watching the waves roll in or following the antics of numerous birds over the indigenous bush on the dunes. A large table and benches can be used for meals and games – spend the day on the verandah, no need to be indoors! The lounge is overlooked by the loft which accommodates 4 or 5 children (definitely over the age of 4) on mattresses. One of the important parts of a holiday is sleep! There are 7 bedrooms (including the loft), 5 of which are en-suite. The master bedroom has a dressing room and full bath and shower, a king size bed, a private balcony and the most magnificent view in the whole of South Africa! Two of the bedrooms have their own entrance from outside which can be quite convenient (for getting away from the madding crowd!) One of the bedrooms has a queen size bed and the others have double beds. The sixth bedroom uses the bathroom across the passage, and there is a shower and loo off the dining room for the children in the loft and guests. (7 bathrooms in total) There is plenty of linen, including pillows and duvets, bath towels and beach towels for your use. When the weather is bad, there is a TV in the lounge with wifi and Netflix, and an assortment of games to occupy the children whilst you laze on the couch. Listen to the radio, watch DVDs and YouTube. FACILITIES On the sea-facing verandah, we have a built-in braai which is sheltered from an off-shore wind. On the other side of the house is another built-in braai which is sheltered from the wind when it blows off the sea. Bake in the hot sun on the decked area around this braai made private with indigenous plants, on large comfortable cushions around a huge table. Meals can be eaten outdoors even when the wind blows. The kitchen has a double door fridge/freezer, electric oven/gas stove, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine, kettles and toasters to cater for large crowds, and all the mod cons to ensure that you have a wonderful holiday. The scullery is separate, with a dish washer, washing machine and tumble dryer, and another smaller fridge. The garage houses surf boards and paddling craft for the more adventurous. It has space for 2 cars. Domestic help can be arranged for your own account. There is a separate self-catering cottage on the same premises, sleeping maximum 4 people. It is above the garage with its own entrance, and is not part of the Beach House booking unless requested. The Janine's Cool Cottage guests have access to the beach path through the garden of the main Beach House. Apart from this, you won't know the guests are there - it truly is separate. POSITION We are situated right on the sandy beach 20m from the swimming area. Cape St Francis is a world renowned surfing spot called Seal Point. Bruce’s Beauties (made famous in the film Endless Summer) is only a few kilometres away, and Jeffreys Bay is next door. The best fishing spots are found in front of the house or off the rocks at Seal Point and Shark Point. Guest access You have the whole house to yourselves, on the best beach in the whole wide world! When you step off the lawn you can swim, surf, walk or run for miles. Hunt for shells or play in the rock pools. Watch the surfers. When you come off the beach, you can have a refreshing hot shower in an enclosure surrounded by bush. Lie down on a cushioned bankie on the verandah and close your eyes..... The whole house is for your use, as well as the front yard and back yard. You are totally private. There is an alarm system should you wish to use it. Other things to note There is space for 4 cars in the parking area.
