Description
The space Functional 20-square-meter attic studio apartment, renovated and tastefully furnished, with a TERRACE FOR EXCLUSIVE USE. On the third floor without an elevator of an ancient building in the historic center, fifteen meters from the sea, a few meters from a megalithic viewpoint. The apartment has a nice terrace with sea views where you can relax in the sun or have your meals in the shade and a window overlooking a baroque church and the garden of the Archbishopric offering views of the lighthouse, the fortress and the Basilica. The shopping streets with shops and restaurants are only 200 m away. The apartment offers a double bed and a sofa for a child or teenager. Also suitable for three adults. The dining area has a two-burner kitchenette equipped with a fridge and a coffee table with chairs. The bathroom is with shower, toilet and bidet. You have an LCD TV, hairdryer, courtesy kit (toilet paper, hand soap, dishwashing detergent, disinfectant, brush and shoe wax), beach kit (umbrella, children's games) fan (the apartment is well insulated and ventilated), WELCOME GIFT. On the terrace you can enjoy the sun with a deck chair, or towel, away from prying eyes (PRIVATE SOLARIUM!). A renowned seaside resort, one of the MOST BEAUTIFUL VILLAGES IN ITALY, a UNESCO site (Duomo), Cefalù combines the pleasures of a crystal clear sea (golden sand beaches and cliffs accessible even to the youngest), a great cultural richness and a SLOW lifestyle like that of the past amidst silence, the sound of the sea, and birdsong. Green Flag 2013 for the beach! The area is part of the "Madonie Park". From PREHISTORY to HISTORY Prehistoric traces of human habitation between 2,000 and 3,000 BC (cave of mares and doves). At the end of the 5th century BC, the city took the Greek name of Kephaloidion. It was invaded in 396 BC by the Carthaginians, Syracusans (307 BC), Romans (254 BC) who called it Cephaloedium. This was followed by the domination of the Vandals and the Goths, the Eastern Empire, the Arabs, the Normans, the Angevins, and the Spaniards. These dominations have left traces in the many monuments (temple of Diana, the Norman Cathedral UNESCO SITE, the Osterio Magno, the megalithic walls, etc.) in the language, traditions, and gastronomy. TOURISM and ACTIVITIES Most of the regional tourist sites are easily accessible by numerous bus excursions (Palermo, Etna, Villa Casale, Tempi d'Agrigento, Syracuse, Erice, etc.). Hydrofoil to the Aeolian Islands (Vulcano, Stromboli, etc.). Walk along the path carved out of the rocks. *Visit the Norman walls, the archaeological site and the Temple of Diana on the edge of the cliff overlooking the sea. Note: from August 2 to 6, the main festival of Cefalù is celebrated, the Most Holy Savior, patron of the Norman Cathedral Basilica, with a program full of folklore (n'tinna a mare, procession, fireworks, etc.) and the entire town celebrates!
