Villa il Gufo - Farmhouse with private pool

Originally a farmstead, Villa il Gufo has been stylishly created retaining many original features, including high wooden ceilings and open fireplaces. The 16 metre private pool offers an amazing view all over the valley. The Villa is a 10-minute drive from S. Marcello. The space (220 m2: Sleeps 12 - 18) The main Villa's space is the large dining room of roughly 45sqm with kitchen, open fireplace and 30sqm veranda. This is the room where normally large group have meals all together. It was originally the farmhouse hayloft for the former underneath stable. There are 4 double bedrooms; 2 twin bedrooms; 4 bathrooms with shower, toilet, bidet, basin, hair dryer; the wide living room for everybody with open fireplace and veranda; 3 more living rooms with kitchen, open stone fireplace and 2 double sofa beds. Stone walls, wooden ceilings with exposed beams. The kitchens are with electric oven, four hob stove, refrigerator, freezer, basin, kettle, toaster. It is possible to divide the Villa into four independent self catering accommodations two of which are connected by an internal stair. All Villa is surrounded by private garden with outdoor furniture and sunbeds. The farmhouse is isolated enough to enjoy the full privacy and not to create any problem of noise to the nearest houses which are around 1 km distance. The heating from October the 1st to March the 31st is included in the price. In the other period it is optional at the cost as reported by the counter. The 16 metre private pool is exclusively reserved for the Farmhouse's guests. It is open from half of April to the end of September. It is 100 metres away from the farmhouse in order to enjoy the wide view, to get the more possible time of sun, and to ensure peace and quiet around the villa itself. Guest access The farmhouse is in the mountains in the relatively 'undiscovered' north of Tuscany. While still within easy reach of Florence, Bologna, Lucca and Pisa, the villa is perfectly located for wonderful mountain walks, horse riding and skiing in winter. Villa il Gufo is 1,8 km away from the centre of San Marcello Pistoiese. The last 1,4 kilometer of road, part dirt and part asphalted, is a country road in good condition and it is possible to drive up to it with any kind of car. A car is recommended, although it is possible to reach Pistoia, Florence and Lucca from the bus station in the centre of San Marcello Pistoiese. There are several restaurants in San Marcello Pistoiese, 3 banks with ATMs, pubs and bars, supermarkets, internet access, and everything you might need for your holiday. Local villages are lively throughout the summer, with parties and festivals. Choose which of the distinct seasons to visit in- here we have heavy spring blossom, hot summers, smoky autumns and winter skiing. For hugely rewarding, though fairly strenuous walks, we recommend a number of routes in the mountains.
