Description

The space PLEASE READ FULL DESCRIPTION BEFORE YOU BOOK. Our place is not suitable for everyone. If you like corporate uniformity or Scandinavian clean lines and neutral colours. This is not for you. Photographers /models are welcome, please contact to discuss before you book. The space is one floor in the house, consisting of two rooms and a bathroom. One room has a double bed and the other a single sofa bed. We only want friendly easy-going people to stay in our house. We only want people to come who enjoy the same things as us. The space has chandeliers and wooden floors and is decorated with seductive colours and textures. The baroque decor seeks to enchant those who love the embellished and the quirky. If you come here you will be well looked after. We love meeting people and making sure they have a good time and are relaxed and comfortable. Our house is a characterful two-hundred-year-old building, with colourful Fantasy décor. Guests stay in one floor of the house that is private. It contains one double bed and one single day bed in two connecting rooms, with ensuite bathroom are available. Guests can use one floor of the building exclusively. Here they can enjoy an en-suite bathroom/shower that is connected to another room. Guests can have exclusive use of two large rooms and own bathroom. We also have another double room that is next to a shared bathroom. We provide kettles tea/coffee/herbal tea in the rooms. We also provide hairdryers, towels. and toiletries. The house is clean, comfortable yet sensual. We are not minimalists so come if you like visual stimulation! Some of the art is mildly erotic/Pagan. Some of the themes of art in our home are dark and challenging. This is not a conventional type of property. Kids are welcome, but our place is not set up for families and young children. Message us before booking if you are unsure. We live right by the train station which provides regular trains to the heart of Liverpool centre (20-minute journey). Convenient for experiencing the city's lively and exciting cultural offering. We have TV with a fire stick, We have wifi with internet access. Also a screen / DVD Player and comprehensive DVD collection for film buffs. The accommodation is also within easy reach of beautiful beaches and walks, with access to North Wirral's sandy coastline and nature reserves, while also experiencing the peace and serenity of staying in a quiet, seaside residence. Do not come here if you want to step out to the hustle and bustle of Liverpool centre. Our house is central for the best art galleries outside London. Other attractions are the beautiful, famous sunsets and skylines as well as all the many attractions the buzzing and cultural city of Liverpool has to offer. The historic town of Chester is 45 minutes away. An hours drive and you are in Wales with its castles and countryside. A walk away we have quality dining as well as affordable bohemian eateries, from a variety of restaurants (Some on the seafront). New Brighton has its own interesting history which we are happy to discuss. Ishtar, your host, was born and brought up in central Liverpool and knows much about the history of the place, as well as being able to recommend cool places to go. Ishtar is a dancer (also musician and writer) and her partner is involved in creating sustainable communities and has a background in film. We also have two Siamese cats. The animals don't come into rooms guests use. The house was filmed for a TV interior design program. If you don't want your senses stimulated and like neutral/white spaces, then this is not the place for you. Your hosts are both very warm and friendly. We welcome people from other cultures as well as those that have alternative, creative and interesting lifestyles. Those on the LGBT spectrum are more than welcome. We don't want nasty, judgmental or rude people here. Our house is a safe space for alternative people, minorities and queer people. Middle of the road types will not like our home or value it in the right way. The house contains original artworks, unusual multi-cultural décor and a variety of international spiritual icons. It is generally a creative and space. We recognise that certain people appreciate such things and we hope these are the ones who will choose to stay with us. We don't want entitled or rude people coming to our home, who expect the Ritz while paying a low price. If you require your own space for private contemplation and/or work, we will respect this. We can advise and assist you on local attractions and events. Including cool places to go, Liverpool cultural events, nearby neolithic monuments and other historical sites and places of interest in Merseyside and North Wales. Guest access The one floor that you book and garden. During your stay We love meeting new people and chatting, however, if this is not what the guest requires, we will leave them to have their own space. We also may have our own things to do so cannot always entertain guests. Our house is big enough for people to have privacy. Other things to note We love people to feel at home and relaxed in our space and be themselves. People from alternative, psychedelic, gay and ethnic communities are very welcome. Our home is not suitable for the over 60's for a variety of reasons. Check in/out can be flexible, but must be arranged and agreed with the hosts A kettle and tea and coffee are provided in the rooms as are hair dryers. You don't have to creep around as our bedroom is two floors away from yours. You can come and go whatever time you please coming in very late is fine. Please note our house is a work of art, but it is not to everyone's taste. If you don't like art with erotic/spiritual/pagan/gothic themes then please don't come. Fundamentalist religious types may find our place and us to be not to their taste. We welcome those who share our taste and lifestyle. Our house contains recycled/reclaimed/antique objects. It is an old house (almost 200 years) with a story. If you like the minimalist, corporate off the shelf look, full of shiny new white things and massive flat screen TV's, this is not the place for you. This is an old house IT IS CLEAN, but it is not new. We have animals who are friendly. If you don't like animals or have allergies, or will freak out at the sight of an animal hair, (we have a white dog), then this is not for you either. However, the animals are not allowed in the guest rooms. This house has big rooms and high ceilings. It is not freezing, but in the winter it is not the warmest house in the world. So if you like your place to be very warm, this is not a good place for you in the winter months. If you are a group of more than two people, please consider you may all be sharing one bathroom and that is en suite from one of the bedrooms. We really welcome easy going people who are broad-minded. Most of our reviews have been very positive (Please read). Very occasionally we have had poor reviews, they have come from those who have not read the description properly and are from people not compatible with the space or the hosts. Please check with other people you may bring with you that this space is for them. We will do our best to accommodate your needs, desires and food preferences (within reason)! Please let us know how we can help and assist you in any way. Sheets/ towels are washed in a hot wash and/or with fabric disinfectant. So no need to worry about germs! Belly dance/Bollywood dance/Yoga /goddess workshops therapies/tours to nearby sacred and neolithic monuments/tours of Liverpool are available from us or our friends. Please enquire.
