House by the Green, a tranquil Cotswold retreat...

NOTE: A second double room is available by request for parties of more than 2 people. A simple contemporary home situated in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Light and airy interior filled with a mixture of artisan and vintage pieces. House by the green is in a peaceful tucked away hamlet within walking distance of a local shop and a village pub serving good local food. Come and stay for a couple of nights, enjoy a local walk and then head out to explore the Cotswolds. The space Far Oakridge is a small hamlet in the South Cotswolds and is in a peaceful location, ideal for getting away from it all. The area offers wonderful walking through outstanding countryside as well as proximity to the famous Roman towns of Bath, Cheltenham and Cirencester. Close by are the market towns of Stroud, which is well renown for its fantastic local artisan farmers market every Saturday morning, and Nailsworth which has a classified ‘Fairtrade’ status. Also nearby is Tetbury an antique collectors haven featuring many independent boutiques and retailers. You are spoilt for choice when it comes to pubs and restaurants. Here are to name but a few: The Trouble House, The Ragged Cot, The Gumstool Inn, The Painswick and The Bell at Sapperton. Guest access There is one double room to rent which has access to a large private shower room with walk in shower, toilet and basin. Adjoining this is an area on the landing with a comfortable sofa where you can sit and relax with a cup of tea/coffee whilst reading the paper or just use it as a place to enjoy the peace and tranquility. During your stay Breakfast is served either at the scrub top kitchen table or if you prefer you can sit outside and enjoy the birdsong and the relaxed surroundings Other things to note There are no house rules as such. We just expect our guests to respect the peace and quiet of the area and relax and enjoy themselves. Please don't hesitate to ask if there is anything you want or need.
