Holt Cottage near Llansteffan

Sitting above the Taf Estuary, Holt Cottage provides a perfect location to enjoy the peace and tranquility of an unspoilt part of Wales. Situated on the Welsh Coastal Path, we provide a base from which to explore the glorious Welsh coastline. A haven for wildlife with regular sightings of red kites, badgers and for the lucky few, otters at play. Holt Cottage is set in the countryside that Dylan Thomas would have gazed upon and has view of his Boathouse and Writing Shed. The space Holt Cottage is a self contained cottage attached to our property. You have your own patio, ideal for al-fresco dining and BBQs with stunning views over the Taf Estuary across to Laugharne. Downstairs, you have an open plan living and dining area with patio doors making the most of the view. You have a fully equipped kitchen complete with washing machine, fridge and chest freezer. Upstairs you will find a double bedroom with ample storage and countryside views, a family bathroom with bath and shower and, to the front of the property, a family room with one double and one single bed. The cottage has it's own parking and gardens. For guests arriving in electric vehicles, there are designated charging points at Llansteffan Beach carpark. Guest access Our property is set in 2 acre grounds that you are free to roam. Although fully fenced, a determined dog could find it's way off the property, so we would advise dog owners to keep your dog on a lead if they are known to wander. The cottage also has a fully enclosed back yard. You will be sharing the grounds with Bill, a lively Romanian rescue dog, our cats, Meg and Mog and our chickens. Other things to note Some sat nav systems take you to a campsite outside Llanybri village. This is not us! On booking, I will send you directions from the village of Llansteffan. Guests arriving in electric vehicles can make use of the designated electric vehicle charging points at Llansteffan Beach carpark. We do not allow charging via a 3 pin plug from the cottage. This method of charging can place prolonged high loads on electric systems not specifically designed for this purpose. This can potentially lead to overheating and fire.
