Stay in a beautiful handcrafted Shepherd's hut with wood burning hot tub, overlooking the rolling Devon hills surrounding the Salcombe Estuary. This hut has been lovingly crafted from reclaimed materials salvaged from the working farm, set amidst an area of outstanding natural beauty. Enjoy cosy evenings spent under starry skies warming yourselves by the fire, or in our wood fired hot tub, and Spend your days paddling down the beautiful estuary with Kayaks you can hire from us! The space The shepherds hut has been designed to be a cosy and intimate space, to help you unwind and enjoy the peace and serenity of the surrounding natural beauty. Complete with an antique log burner even the frosty evenings are made snug and homely. There is a separate window fronted cabin containing a stylishly designed kitchen and adjoining shower room and dining area for two. There is also a compost toilet built on the hill with panoramic views. This is a private retreat just for the two of you, apart from the occasional sheep or badger, you will have the entire meadow to yourselves. Guests also have use of a wood fired hot tub, perfect for soaking away an evening facing a beautiful sunset or under the stars. Logs are provided for the log burner, but guests will need to purchase extra nets for the hot tub (it takes 2-3 nets per use). We also have a pair of kayaks for you to hire for a small fee. Spend a relaxing day exploring the natural beauty of the Salcombe estuary. This site is not suitable for children or more than 2 people, sorry. Guest access You will have private use of the hut and all amenities including the meadow surrounding the huts, and can enjoy the firepit and cook alfresco using the bbq crafted from a local beer barrel. Other things to note There will be a terms and conditions form for you to read and sign upon your arrival. It contains important health and safety information and must be read before using the hot tub and kayaks. In making a booking you are accepting full responsibility for yourself and your booking party and are agreeing to abide by the Terms and Conditions, which are outlined in our waiver of liability. Please note that the huts are off-grid and solar powered. Therefore it cannot support hairdryers or heating appliances. The mini-fridge is timed to come on during the day. We provide freezer packs for night.
