The district is close to the center (2 km from the city center) but has been spared from all tourism. Traditionally a fishing village. La Casita is a typical fisherman's house built 100 years ago. Market •100m from the house is an indoor market with lots of fresh fish and vegetable. This is a local market, you will find very little tourists here (anywhere actually in Huelin). The prices are significantly lower than in the center. •The market is open from Monday to Saturday from 8 am till 2 pm. Public transport •In the main street Calle Alalya (100 m) rides a local bus (No. 1, 3, 16) to the centre. A ticket costs € 1.30. You can also buy a pass in a Tobacco-store for 20 bus rides, it costs € 8.50 or a weekly pass. •At the central bus station in the city centre (2 km) are long distances buses (Marbella, Alicante, Seville, ...) Shops •The neighborhood is teeming with small local shops where you can find everything you need. •In the main street Calle Alaya (right end street) you will find many shops: better bakeries, chicken take-way, Supersol supermarket (mainly food and household products), ATM ...
