We also highly recommend the indoor/outdoor Museum of Life and Science and Duke Park if you want to thrill the little ones. If you have slightly older ones (or are a kid at heart yourself), there is a skate park at Durham Central Park (great farmer’s market there on Saturdays), also walkable.
