Traveling Professional's Retreat!

Book this upstairs private 1 bedroom next to a full bath in this established Airbnb custom Victorian style home. Full bath may be shared with other traveling professional. Nestled in the mountains w/ seasonal creeks and critters is an ideal place that is minutes from the heart of town and the freeway. Enjoy a quiet stay in this spectacular custom architecture, pine ceiling, & wood floors. Security cameras located in public areas. Airbnb Verified and references required. Host stays in house. The space Welcome to our home! You will have access to 1 bedroom, 1 1/2 baths, kitchen, living room, and outside areas. There is no central air conditioner. Fans seem to keep the place cool enough. The upstairs bath may be shared with other traveling professional. We have 1 friendly dog named Sam that looks after the property :) Sam likes to be in the house on her dog mat when we are home, and she sleeps inside on her dog mat. Our home and neighborhood is very safe--I do have security cameras in public places and once in a while we have an occasional visitor from a critter looking for food or water.:0 Why is this listing so cheap??? It is cheap because we travel a lot so it is likely you will have the place all to yourself for most of your stay. So, if we aren't home, I am hopeful that you would be willing to do a little pet care for us--just open a can of pet food and check water daily. Sam is very low maintanence as she is old and just likes to sleep inside on her mat. The kitty, Spooky, is an outside cat and would just need to be fed outside. If you aren't willing to the pet care, that is fine but I will need to hire someone to come in to do this daily-so that may impact you slightly. KITCHEN: Feel free to use the kitchen to prepare a light meal or snack (use my pans, spices etc.). There will be a shelf cleared for you in the fridge (water & ice machine on door do not work, but there is an ice cube tray in the freezer), --you will need to hand wash the dishes as the dishwasher is used for storage. Trash can is in cupboard to the right of the stove. LIVING ROOM: Feel free to use Smart tv (no cable), VCR, watch any of my videos, play the board games or read my books. No eating int he living room please. BEDROOMS: The two spare bedrooms are yours- each with one full size bed; which is comfy for one person and cozy for two. The master bedroom is where we, the owners will stay. When you are not in your room shut off the lights, fans, air conditioner etc. Feel free to hang clothes up in the closet and use the dresser drawers. There are extra blankets and pillows in the closet. BATHROOM: You may use the bathroom upstairs or downstairs. Feel free to use the items in the baskets if you forgot anything ( shampoo etc.) The upstairs bathroom faucets (hot/cold water) are opposite; the hot is on the right and the cold on the left for both the sink and the shower. MASTER BEDROOM: off limits OFFICE: off limits. OUTSIDE: Feel free to sit on the front porch or in the backyard to eat or relax. When you leave: Please sign the guest book. Check out time is at 10:00 a.m. Please shut off all lights, heaters, and air conditioners. Cleaning lady comes at 10:30-leave linens where they are. PARKING: Please park in area to the left of the house. Please do not block the garages. Guest access We only accept guests with complete profiles, verified, Driver's license & references uploaded. Guests may have use of common areas: tv/vcr (I do not have cable), games, inside or outside dining areas. Visit the local visitor center to get updates on our wineries, breweries, golfing, lakes, glider airport, and famous Tehachapi Loop. No parties, no unauthorized visitors/guests/partners/family stays. Trash day is on Wednesday--we set can next to the neighbors can early Wednesday mornings. During your stay We will be on site. We will keep a low profile, or we will be available to help you in any way. We enjoy conversation and are willing to help you plan your trip. Other things to note Kitchen is available for meal or snack prep. Please clean up after your self if you use the kitchen. Dish washer is used for storage; so you will need to hand wash dishes. Ice maker is not dependable, fridge sometimes makes weird noises.
