Take a break and unwind at this peaceful oasis. 15-minute drive to Autzen Statium or Eugene Airport; 10-minute drive to The Hult Center and 5th Street Markets. Try farm-fresh eggs, take a run through the neighborhood to nearby Petersen Park, or read a good book by the fire with my friendly cat. One shared bathroom and one room available: the Red Leaves Room has a California king bed and a work space table and chair. The space My home is a classic 1950’s single-level ranch-style home with lighting details, wood floors, coved ceilings and a dining room arch. It’s cute and inviting with lots of natural light, including a picture window in the dining room. I have my office space in my room, which is off-limits, and a single-car garage, where I park my vehicle, so I do need access to and from it daily. The open parking available to you is my gravel area to the right of my driveway, long enough for a full-size extend-cap pickup truck. The only stairs are two steps up to the front door and two steps down to the garage floor where the washer and dryer are located. My backyard is fully fenced, has a hammock on the porch by the palm tree, and a brightly-painted storage shed where my bicycles (and extra furniture) are stored. You can meet my two chickens and enjoy their farm-fresh eggs in the ingredients besides oatmeal, fruit, toast, sausage, and juice available to you for preparing your own breakfast. I live in an old, quiet residential area. You may hear the rail cars being changed out nearby, and you will definitely hear the neighbor’s basset hound baying occasionally. The established trees lining our street bring lots of birds and the soothing sound of wind rustling through the leaves. Guest access Front and back yards, gravel side of driveway, living room with TV, a DVD and book collection, dining room seating for four, kitchen with basic dishes, glasses and cooking equipment, washer/dryer in garage (just ask first so I can show you proper operation), the one bathroom (shared), and the guest bedroom. During your stay I work during the day, leaving the house early, but check my phone texts and emails frequently, so can respond to questions throughout the day within a couple hours. I am home most evenings working on school assignments or pulling weeds in the yard. I enjoy hearing your stories, but am very adaptable to the level of interaction you are comfortable with, just let me know.—My cat will be more insistent about attention.😁 I suggest leaving the door to your room closed so he stays out. I leave my bedroom door open for him, but ask that you do not go in my room during your stay. Otherwise, please make yourself at home during your stay. Pretend you’re visiting your favorite aunt while you’re staying with me.☺️ Other things to note My cat SkyRider is an Abyssinian, and so he is very friendly, agile and quick, but needs to stay indoors. I suggest that you enter “foot first” to push him back from getting out. Also, the garage door from the kitchen doesn’t fully latch, so I keep it hooked and double-push it (until it makes a click sound) from the garage side when I go to the backyard to make sure he doesn’t open it.
