The Island Farmhouse is a perfect country cottage, cozy and peaceful. Enjoy mornings and evenings on the porch swing, watching the goats, sheep and horses grazing. Walking or biking distance from beaches, kayaking, hiking trails, farm fresh produce, and local wineries. A scenic 25 minute drive from historic Port Townsend,where you will find a wonderful assortment of eclectic dining, shops and entertainment. The kitchen is well appointed with all cooking tools and appliances. There is an in-house washer and dryer. There is a barbeque and a firepit. The master bathroom has a deep Japanese tub. Wi-Fi and Direct TV available. There is plenty of parking space for RVs, travel trailers/campers; although no hook ups for the former. House trained dogs are welcome. (Due to the extensive use of custom wood trim and antique furniture, we cannot accept cats) The host/owner of this property is a commercial pilot who can offer discounts on scenic flights, flight instruction or air taxi services around Puget Sound. This five acre property is divided by a woodshop/barn/net shed, and second residence on the south end; these areas will not be available for tenants' use. Marrowstone Island is a unique community of farmers, fishers, gardeners, vintners, artists and craftspeople. The neighborhood is quiet. People are kind and helpful. This is a great choice for anyone who wants to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life, but still have access to great dining and entertainment. My farmhouse is walking and biking distance (or a 5 min drive) from Mystery Bay, where you will find the Nordland General Store, USPS, and kayak rentals. It is about 10 minutes to Fort Flagler State Park.
