Wayside Loft (cosy burn-side suite)

A modern en suite bedroom & compact lounge area above a garage with dining area downstairs. The Loft has been tastefully decorated and is warm and comfortable. The relaxing sound of the burn (stream) and birdsong just outside in the garden makes this the perfect place to unwind. The space Wayside Loft is set in a private, quiet and tranquil area of Drumnadrochit, yet is conveniently close to most village amenities. The centre of the village is 5 minutes walk away and there you will find cafés, Fiddler's restaurant/bar/outdoor eating, Post Office/local shop and Tourist Information. Even closer is The Highland Lodge Hotel, which is home to Nessieland. It also has a popular bar & restaurant. Just beyond this is the Drumnadrochit Hotel/café and several souvenir shops as well as the very popular Loch Ness Experience. The bedroom window of Wayside Loft is south facing. Guests have use of the back garden which is a great spot to sit outside and take in the view of the surrounding hills. There is private off road parking and the garden has a table and chairs for outdoor eating. Wayside Loft is in a very pretty spot and a short walk up the hill will give you fabulous views over the loch. Alternatively, walk through the village to 'The Cover', a wooded area through which the river Enrick and Coiltie flow and eventually merge to flow into the Loch. Wayside Loft is next to the Allt Tarbh (Bull burn) surrounded by trees and full of wildlife, so you will hear beautiful birdsong in the morning and if you listen very carefully, owls hooting in the evening. There is NO KITCHEN in the Loft but there are facilites to warm food (please ask if you need access) and a small dining area downstairs. There is a good selection of cafés and restaurants a short walk away in the village. Guest access Guests can make use of the garden at the back of the house which includes a table and chairs. There is also a BBQ. Please ask if you would like to use this facility. Other things to note There is no kitchen in the Loft but we have provided the basic equipment needed to warm food. There is also crockery, cutlery, microwave, toaster, hotplate and sink with hot running water. This is in the garage part of the building and not inside the Loft. We have provided these basics in response to feedback from guests but it should be noted that this area is a convenience only and is not listed as an amenity. Guests would have to exit the Loft and enter the garage to use these facilities. There is a small dining room downstairs with kettle and toaster for preparing light breakfast.
