Guest sleeper cabin or Mother-In-Law room. Cabin is 2 miles from Mt. Rushmore and walking distance from the restaurants and shops in Keystone SD. There is a large deck overlooking Battle Creek and BH National Forest. Hill top setting just 1/4 mile from Keystone, A/C and heater unit, small bathroom with shower is not kid-friendly due to rough terrain and wilderness setting. Not open in the winter months. May 31-Oct 1st is typical seasonal openings. Use this AirBnB messaging service for info. This is a small sleeping cabin. It has room for a queen bed only and a small refrigerator, microwave and a small table with a coffee pot. It does have a shower in the small bathroom. There is an A/C heat unit, a large deck overlooking Battle Creek and National Forest treetops. It is not kid-friendly because of the rough terrain and wild life at your doorstep. Besides your cabin deck and grass area, the small grill is available and the grassy area from our bridge to the culvert is our property as well. There is a fire pit and access to Battle Creek. Text me using AirBnB message app. with any questions or directions you may need for your visit, I will get back asap and am happy to help. I give you your space to come and go almost any hours. Fresh towels and linens will be provided as needed. The small town is bustling every summer with guests from all over the world who come for the scenic beauty, recreation and Mt. Rushmore National Monument. Half a million bikers visit the area the first 2 weeks in August for the Sturgis Bike Rally. There is much to see and do and 3 days minimum is recommended. Cars are the best way to see everything the area has to offer. Park at your cabin keeping in mind 1 other parking space is allocated for the other cabin. I often eat at Powder House on Hwy 16A just a mile away for breakfast lunch or dinner and the food is great. Pizza from Halley’s West at the Keystone “mall” is Great and so are the wings. They are near the Alpine slide and zip line course which are also a lot of fun. Custer Park via Hwy 16A is just before Mt. Rushmore and is called Iron Mt. Rd. Or Pig Tail Bridges Rd and a must experience. Stop at the top for the Norbeck Overlook for a great look at Mt Rushmore and a scenic photo-op of the Monument through the 3 different tunnels as you drive back down. This drive was a part of a James Bond movie “North by Northwest.”
