Red Roof Cottage is an 1870s historic home in a village area (private, but not remote). A clawfoot tub, hand-hewn wood floors, abundant natural light, well-equipped kitchen, private yard, and fast WiFi await. Just 15 mins to skiing and mountain biking; situated in the top-ranked leaf-peeking corridor of New Eng.; minutes to hiking, canoeing, antiquing, farmers' markets, and dining. Easy drive to Stowe, Burlington, Jay Peak, & more. Upstairs twin beds convert to king (ask @ booking). The space -This home is in a village area (residential), not a remote location. This means easy access to groceries and healthcare and well-maintained roads in winter. -Upstairs bedroom w/ queen four-poster bed -2nd room upstairs w/ twin XL beds that convert to king bed (REQUEST PREFERRED BED ARRANGEMENT AT BOOKING) -One downstairs bedroom; has an extra twin bed stowed under the daybed (a pull out trundle bed...see images in listing) -Dogs allowed (extra fee applies); sorry, no cats due to owner allergies -Yard is not fenced (see if you can spot deer tracks in the snow...we often do!) -We have neighbors, but our location is private and quiet -Wifi/ Smart TV/ DVD (no cable, log into the TV with your own network accounts) -Plenty of space in each upstairs room for a pack-n-play (stored in the closet) -The downstairs room has a twin-size daybed with twin trundle -All mattresses are high quality and comfortable (memory foam) -Clean towels and linens provided for up to 6 guests -Kitchen is fully-equipped, but food is not provided -Dishwasher (Euro/half-size machine) -Permanently mounted wall AC unit in sunroom and seasonally installed AC unit in dining room (capacity to cool entire ground floor) -AC window units installed in each bedroom for warmer months (typically early/mid June until October). -Box fans provided in all bedrooms year-round -Questions? Don't hesitate to ask! Guest access The house is in a quiet neighborhood and is easily navigable by car (roads are well maintained in winter). There is a large detached garage that accommodates two cars. (No digging your car(s) out of the snow!) The driveway is plowed in winter as needed. Other things to note Longer shelf-life consumables are available at the house (e.g., sugar, artificial sweetener, oil, vinegar, salt, pepper, spices, basic condiments, etc.). You are welcome to use (or not use) these items as you wish. Individually packed coffee, tea, and creamer are also available for your first two nights stay.
