Buckskin Lodge is a full sized 2 bedroom ranch house in the heart of the Texas Hill Country just 20 minutes from Kerrville. Master bath has a walk-in shower and large soaking tub. The kitchen has an extended granite bar for seating or prep space. It has a Texas size wrap around front porch overlooking the fire pit, pavilion and boasts great wildlife viewing. Need more space? The Buckskin Lodge is located on a 50 acre high fenced wildlife ranch in the heart of the Texas Hill Country just 20 minutes from Kerrville. The Buckskin Lodge spans an impressive 1,300 square feet, giving you and your friends or family ample space to unwind and enjoy your getaway. You’ll love the Texas-style, wrap around, covered front porch and the spacious kitchen, fully equipped to start your culinary adventures. Dark skies, Bortle 3, allow for amazing stargazing, while beautiful hill country sunsets allow to relax while viewing the free roaming wildlife on the property. Sleeps six guests comfortably. Two bedrooms (one with a king bed and a set of bunk beds, the other with a queen bed and set of bunk beds). Texas wrap around front porch. Large full kitchen and dining area. Two full baths (master bath features a walk-in shower, dual vanities, and a soaking tub). All toiletries included, soap, shampoo, hairdryer. Also dishes, pans, utensils, coffee maker, coffee, creamer and sugar included. All linens, towels included. Central A/C and heat. Easy access to our extra large communal fire pit and wildlife viewing area. Guests have access to the pavilion, swimming pool, hot tub, Moonshine's BYOB bar, the band stage and walking trail. PET FRIENDLY CABIN FOR STAYS LESS THAN 7 DAYS. A $50 DOLLAR PET FEE IS REQUIRED. ONE PET UNDER 40LBS IS ALLOWED. Located just outside of Kerrville, we are just minutes from restaurants, breweries, wineries, and river access. Hill Country area activities in Fredericksburg, Bandera, Medina and Boerne are nearby. The Property: Cowboys and Angels is a 50 acre private high-fenced wildlife ranch offering a western themed getaway. The property aims to craft a solid balance between Texas Hill Country charm and flexibility - offering everything from intimate cabins for couples and families to group friendly event spaces. There are 8 cabins, the Lodge (a 2 bedroom ranch house), RV spots with full hookups and boondocking, a large firepit with surrounding comfortable lounge chairs, and a covered pavilion available to customize your stay. The ranch also hosts weddings, reunions and special occasion celebrations with a 1940s restored Chapel, a Party Barn and Pavilion. Standout amenities include a swimming pool, hot tub, BYOB saloon, band stage fully equipped with electrical outlets and lighting, WiFi lounge, and the walking trail. Exotic deer including axis, blackbuck and whitetail roam freely on the property. Wildlife such as jack rabbits, foxes and a variety of birds can also be seen. We observe dark sky preservation practices on the property. Dark night skies allow ample opportunity for stargazing (a Bortle 3 area). The property is far enough from town to provide a quiet, secluded getaway but close enough to nearby Kerrville (for shopping, river trails, dining), Bandera (the "Cowboy Capital"), Fredericksburg (for wineries/vineyards), Comfort (for wine tasting), and Hunt (for the Guadalupe River access). Bring your motorcycles and enjoy scenic Hill Country rides such as the Three Sisters. Guest access CHECK-IN INSTUCTIONS*** When you get to the billboard sign and a big RED gate, please call for the gate code. Please wait for the gate to FULLY close on entry and exit. Please respect our 10 mph strictly enforced speed limit, as we have abundant wildlife on the property. Drive down the main drive and stay left at the Y. Continue down the road to the parking area at the flagpole. The lodge is straight ahead down the sidewalk. It has a big red roof. If it is after dark, the porch light will be on and the key will be in the door. CHECK-OUT PROCEDURES*** Please strip the beds. Please pick up trash and put outside of the front door. Turn the A/C to 78 deg in the summertime. Put the key back in the front door. There is a $50 charge for unreturned keys. Other things to note Please be sure to pack food to cook and items you would normally use when outdoors. This property will give you all the joys of exploring wildlife, birding, photography and, most of all, making memories. All pets must remain on leashes at all times for the safety of the animals kept on the property. We have abundant wildlife and chickens here so please be aware of them when driving. What to bring: Food, snacks & Grilling type items. Flashlights (We observe dark sky preservation practices on this ranch) Stuff to roast over the open fire. Swim Suit Laundry soap in case you want to use our facility. Bug spray, walking trail and hiking shoes/boots and any other items you would normally need for outdoor enjoyment.
