Set on seven peaceful acres of open fields and pasture, the property is surrounded by Amish neighbors, horse-drawn buggies, and a blend of nostalgic character and modern comfort—an unforgettable escape unlike any other. The space The Old Stone House furnished with two private entrances, fully equipped kitchen, dining area, WiFi, and family room featuring an amazing original hand-chiseled stone wall with access to patio and fire pit. Geothermal heating and cooling resulting in no fossil fuels. Listen to the clip-clop of horses and learn about Amish life as they travel to their daily destinations. Your itinerary may have an option of dining in a with an Amish family’s home and drive off in a buggy ride! Sip wine in the early dusk on the patio or in many of the local wineries. Wait as the night sky opens up with a display of brilliant stars--make a wish on a falling. Bring your telescope! There is no time for boredom: Lakes for canoeing, kayaking, fishing, swimming; hot air balloon and parachuting; Amish produce markets, auctions, rodeo, and parks for horseback riding; hiking, biking; maple syrup, cheese, Amish bargain stores and salvage; butcher shops for fresh culinary and , of course, golf courses. Take in a drive-in theater! Experience living history within the Western Reserve of Ohio where it began in Mesopotamia. The End of the Commons General Store will immerse you in this past as you step on creaky floor boards and fill a bag with penny candy. Don’t forget the ice cream cone as you sit on the porch watching the Amish come and go. We are only an hour or more from Cleveland, Pittsburgh and Akron, etc., and would love to have you as our guest in this unique area. Guest access A sun filled family room with dining area and fully furnished kitchen. 2nd floor bedrooms have a quiet sitting area in the interior outside of the two bedrooms with couch and glider, tv and Roku. The patio is perfect for gathering with fire pit and barbecue overlooking fields and pasture watching Amish daily life travel in horse and buggy. Other things to note Quiet hours after 9:30 pm and private areas are noted if applicable. To ensure cleanliness and sanitation, we request your shoes are removed during your stay. Shoe storage in entrance is provided or can be placed within the house entrance on the floor.
