Book your stay with me today! This apartment is in the neighborhood of Thission, between the historical center of Athens and the lively nightlife neighborhood of Keramikos-Gazi. The area balances being an urban neighborhood and an old Athenian one. The ancient Agora and the edge of historical center is minutes away, from where on you can start visiting all important landmarks on foot. The Acropolis, the Parthenon, the Acropolis museum and the scenic neighborhood of Plaka are all withing walking distance. There is connection to the port and the airport from the nearby metro and train stations ( both within 10 minute walks) . AIRPORT: • Taxi - 35€ during the daytime and 54€ from 00.00 to 05.00(standard price to Athens center) • Bus : X95 (24/7 bus) Outside the arrivals gate every 10' – 15'. Tickets are 5€ per person from kiosk/driver. Bus terminates at Syntagma square, from there it is a 5€ taxi fare to the apartment. • Metro:blue line 3 - Every 30'. 8€ per person. To Kerameikos station. PORT Train to Thission Station, 1.4€ per person. City centre is a 10 minutes walk way though the old neighborhood of Thissio. From there you can explore everything on foot. Also taxi or uber fares from anywhere in the city centre for those late evenings when one cannot stand any more walking will always be a valid alternative , and not too pricey either. ✦For legal purposes, it is required that a social tax records no. (AΦΜ-for Greek nationals only) or a passport no. and an official name and address of one of the guests is provided upon arrival. I understand it can be annoying and time consuming and it is not common practice in the Airbnb platform but it is now mandatory in Greece. Beware of hosts that do not ask for that information, since the situation can vary from tax evasion to fraud. ✦Cleaning of the apartment is handled prior to your arrival. Some cleaning equipment will be left at the apartment in case of an emergency. ✦Papers are not to be thrown is the toilet,but in the bathroom dust bin. That is because Greece is one of those places in Europe where toillet/sewage construction doesn't facilitate that,it will easily result to a clogged toilet. ✦There is free parking outside the apartment. In addition private parking with 24/7 access can be arranged for an extra charge. ✦If you leave before 9am keep in mind that the entrance door of the building might be locked,as residents tend to lock it in the night for safety reasons. So be careful not to lock yourselves inside the building but outside the apartment!
