Florence's Chalet

Welcome to our beautiful place where you can wind down and relax and enjoy the beauty of the nature around us. The chalet is ideal for families or groups of friends, offering a place where you can gather by the fire, cook together and sleep in the quiet countryside. Our place is off the beaten path, surrounded by rugged landscapes and wildlife. We are also an equestrian centre and event venue, with a full service organic certified restaurant. The space The chalet is a beautiful timber framed eco-lodge, finished with artistic touches. The tall ceiling and skylight let in lots of natural light, while the large wood burning stove adds warmth and atmosphere. There are 2 bedroom, one in the loft with a large double bed and 2 sets of bunk beds downstairs in a 2nd bedroom. The sitting room/kitchen is an open floor plan, making it feel light and spacious. As part of the Slieve Aughty Centre eco resort, there is an abundance of walking, hiking, cycling and horse riding opportunities to uncover as well as a full service organic restaurant open weekends and daily in summer. For the smaller ones there is a walk to the Enchanted Forest and small playground and arts and craft room. We are ideally located for those wishing to explore the west of Ireland. Guest access All guests can access the self-guided nature trails that meander through the more than 2,000 acres of forestry surrounding the centre, and of course feel free to stroll through the organic garden and horse riding stables any time. For families with children, pick up a pack from reception and head to the Enchanted Forest. Other things to note There are no televisions or wifi in the chalet. We provide one bag of timber for the stove. Additional timber can be purchased for €6 per bag or you are welcome to bring your own. If you bring your dog, be a responsible dog owner! Clean up after your pooch. Dogs are not allowed in the bedrooms, on the furniture, or in the garden, playground or restaurant. If your dog chases our farm animals you will be asked to leave. We have several large dogs that live free on the property, so your dog must play well with others. As an eco centre we ask that you please be conscious of your impact and minimise rubbish, recycle and compost, and do not bring single use plastic water bottles - our water is beautiful and safe for drinking.
