My home is a 1-5 min walk from the best views of uptown, a park, best restaurants & dining, & free trolley. All of the city is a min. hired ride away, including Uptown, NoDa, Plaza-Midwood, Southend & NC Music Factory. Spectrum Center is 1 mi - walkable & trolleyable. The queen bed is comfy, the shower tall, and the night quiet. My place is great for visiting solo adventurers and business travelers alike! The space My place is an old house filled with character. Built in 1935, it is made of old-growth forest wood. They haven't made homes like this in nigh a century. It features the best front porch view you'll find on a house in uptown Charlotte area. As it is an old house, it has plenty of issues. Please measure your expectations. Here you will not find modern conveniences like central air conditioning, nor a range hood. The walls are old and there are cracks from the foundations settling and holes from previous tenants all about. This is the farthest house on the edge of the Elizabeth Neighborhood, nearer the community college than the rest of the neighborhood. Guest access You are welcome to hot cereal, tea, and coffee. There is a kettle and a coffee maker and filtered water. The kettle features a settable thermostat. Guests are welcome to kitchen and porch use. The kitchen is fully stocked. I tend to live in the living room, but guests may use that as well when appropriate. During your stay Tho I enjoy people, I'm often busy. We may get to chat some, though much of my time at home may be spent quiet and apart. Other things to note My neighbors utilize their backyard. Close the red curtains if you want privacy. At night this area is mostly quiet. Guests often comment on surprise at how quiet it can be. I have window treatments in the rooms for guests' additional peacefulness. There may be one other guest during your stay in another private room. There is one bathroom between us 3. I try to always name the other guest so everyone knows who is there.
