Cave en Pori

If you want to have a taste of a traditional Cycladic house then this is the house for you!! It is part of Cybele Holistic Space and is settled in the quiet east part of the island, the cave with its view to the sea and its cycladic architecture ,brings you closer to the sense of original Santorinian house! for visitors who seek some holiday away from the tourist crowds. Plus the red volcanic Pori beach (one of the most quiet in Santorini ) is just one minute on foot from the studio! The space Cave en Pori is around 20 sm2, built in traditionally by digging the earth to the inside, so that it forms a cave shape. It has a big double bed and a sofa (built in the traditional way where a third person can sleep). Just outside the cave, there is the small bathroom and the quite little kitchen that really represent the different Cycladic architecture. In the kitchen we provide all the necessary cookware, two cooking rings, a filter coffee machine, a boiler, a toaster and we also provide some extra things for your cooking like spices, salt, pepper, , filter coffee , sugar, tea .... so you do not have to worry about buying all these things! It is one of the houses in Cybele Holistic Space where we offer yoga classes and half day retreats for the mind body and soul. Cave en Pori is around 7 km from Fira town and 8 km from famous for its sunset Oia village. As it is located in the quiet part (which is the nice thing), there are no super markets around. The closest restaurants and mini markets and grocery shops are in the traditional Vourvoulos village (7 min drive by car) or famous Oia village ( 10minute drive) . We strongly recommend to our guests to rent a car/scooter in order to move around! If you need any help with that you can ask us! It looks to the sea and has a big balcony that the visitor can use to relax,read or even - if an early bird- watch the sun, rise from the sea! Guest access We strongly recommend that our guests rent a car or scooter/atv in order to move around the island and also in order to discover the more hidden peaceful and beautiful places! As we are located in a quiet place between Fira and Oia there is no public transportation available there that you could use. If you come by your already rented car or scooter, we will send you a google map link a few days prior to your arrival with the exact location of the house! If you arrive late at night we strongly advice you, that we book a taxi for you (our taxi driver knows the location of the house). It will be more convenient for you rather than driving at night after a long trip. We do not recommend that you take a taxi by your own when you arrive, because many drivers do not know the location so well ( though they will tell you they know it ) and sometimes they charge way tooo much. Other things to note Homemade delicious breakfast is available upon request with the additional cost of 25 euro per person. The standard check out time is 11 a.m. and check in from 3 p.m. until 11 p.m. We can be a bit flexible with that, but it really depends on the availability and the occupancy of that day. If there is another guest, then a standard 11.00 am check out, and 3.00 pm check in time will be applied.
