Wholesome breakfast provisions supplied including freshly baked bread, home-made jams and local free range eggs. Our cottages are 400m from The Great Victorian Rail Trail, 5km from Yea, the Yea Wetlands Discovery Centre, and the hills of the Great Dividing Range. Explore, Experience, Enjoy The space Caithness is a cosy, self-contained cottage. The bedroom has a Queen-sized bed with en-suite bathroom with both a separate shower and double spa to relax in. The well-equipped kitchen has all you need for a self-catering stay: microwave, full-size electric stove, refrigerator and water filter. In the living area the slow combustion fire makes for a warm, inviting winter evening and the comfortable sofa bed provides room for another couple. The deck overlooks the Cheviot Valley with the Black Range as a skyline backdrop and frequent rainbows and stunning sun sets and rises illuminate the sky, colouring the terrain to lift the spirits, inspire creativity and relaxation. Explore, Experience, Enjoy Guest access The two cottages are set into the side of a hill away from the farm residence. Access to the bathroom is via the bedroom - something to consider if you value your privacy and are booking with more than two! Other things to note The property is an active beef and sheep grazing property with livestock as well as wildlife (kangaroos, wombats, the occasional deer and some very interesting insects). The cottages have been set up as a couples' retreat. It is not suitable for toddlers to 12 year olds as there are several open dams on the property, barbed wire and electric fences and the cottage has an unfenced haha (terrace) as part of the lawn in front of the cottages, which has a drop of 1m to the paddock below with an added electric fence for stock control.
