Our house is located in the neighborhood of La Merced, which means being in contact with a fervent neighborhood of the Virgin that represents it. Over the years, it has become a tradition within Oaxacan families in the city center to go to this neighborhood famous for its gastronomy, which has some of the most emblematic Sunday dining rooms in the capital. The space Our Estancia was born from the feeling of being able to share and enjoy food, drink and company, and the best that one can offer to family and friends to have a good time, those that become unforgettable moments. In other words, to give you the best as an Oaxacan, and for that very reason, to have the pleasure of offering from the soul, the stay and gastronomy to each of the guests to this home. Just as in the spiritual world the number “8” represents infinity (∞), at Estancia la Merced, we created 8 rooms that will give you the rest of the infinite experiences that will enrich you on this journey, being a participant in what the Oaxaca atmosphere offers is undoubtedly a unique and splendid experience. Guest access The house is located between two of the main streets of the historic center. Independencia and Morelos streets, whose flow allows you to cross the city from east to west and vice versa, which places it at a point of easy mobility and access to different points of the center and even to exits of the city, a location that has allowed the movement of the traveler for 400 years, and that you will travel as it has been since then, because there ended the longest street in the city, Independencia street. Other things to note The view of the Oaxacan sky invites you to pamper your body with food and drink, live with nature and lose yourself in the clouds that cross its sapphire sky. What better than on a terrace ideal for your celebration, in one of the Oaxacan houses that make you enjoy the iridescent lights of its sunsets, and be able to witness how the peaks look at each other tinged by the golden kisses of the sun. One of our additional experiences is being able to enjoy the dishes prepared by the house chef, with the already recognized tlayudas, or with its first cousin, the memela. The cheese, beans, and tortilla magically blend to give you the strength to receive a mezcal or a cocktail that will close the palate experience to enjoy the colors, flavors, and explosions that the dishes typical of the entire state provide.
