Agriturismo Chioi, in Filecchio, is a small farm 6 km from Barga, a beautiful location at the gates of Garfagnana and one of the "Most Beautiful Villages in Italy". In a flat, rural area, which lends itself well to pleasant walks and a few minutes from the natural shopping center of Fornaci di Barga, where you will find supermarkets, a bakery, a bank, all kinds of shops, delicious restaurants and a train station. You can also walk to the village, via a path in the farm's woods. The two houses are framed by a large garden with swimming pool (exclusive use), 12x6 and open from Easter to the end of September, located within a fenced area. There is also a wood-burning oven, summer vegetable garden with products available to guests, orchard, and children's games. On the farm there are goats, sheep, rabbits and hens (eggs available for guests), who love to be pampered. It has always belonged to the Pierantoni family and has been completely renovated while maintaining the ancient charm given by terracotta floors and wooden beams. On the first floor, there is an entrance hall, a large living room with a fireplace separated by a brick arch from the well-equipped kitchen (complete with oven and dishwasher), and a spacious bathroom with a tub (free use of washing machine). The original wooden stairs lead to the upper floor, where there is a double bedroom, two bedrooms with two single beds each (easily combined) and a bathroom serving the sleeping area, furnished with a bathtub and shower. Possibility to add cribs for children under three years of age (free) or extra beds for children up to 12 years of age (for a correct estimate, carefully fill in the required data). Outside, it has a terracotta courtyard with a pergola equipped with a bbq, brazier, tables and chairs. THE BARN: The old barn of the past has given way to a comfortable apartment, furnished in a simple and functional way. The typical "mandolato" has remained intact, and during the renovations, an attempt was made to enhance it by making it visible from inside the apartments, also on the back side, still visible, there is a small "metato" where chestnuts were dried. From the large covered terrace equipped with table and chairs, you can directly access a large living room with fireplace and a dining area with open kitchen. There is a loft area, a double bedroom, a bedroom with two single beds, and a bathroom with shower (and washing machine for free use). The entire front of the house has a large sun terrace, ideal for breakfast overlooking the garden. This apartment also has its own barbecue, located in the garden.
