Wonderful thatched cottage in the New Forest

Our recently refurbished family cottage, located in a small village in the midst of the New Forest. Walking distance to a fantastic country pub and direct access to the forest for walking & cycling. Just a few minutes from the famous Furzey Gardens-ten acres of woodland filled with rare and beautiful plants. The house has three spacious bedrooms and sleeps up to six guests. There is a large mature garden & a relaxing conservatory. You'll often see deer grazing in the garden in the early morning. The space This cottage is situated in one of the most beautiful parts of Southern England - the New Forest National Park. The forest is a designated National Park and is steeped in history, having first been proclaimed a royal forest by William the Conquerer. The house is surrounded by some of the largest remaining tracts of unenclosed pastureland and forest in England. You will regularly see animals, ponies, donkeys, pigs and cattle, roaming freely through the village. It is a wonderful area to explore on foot, on horseback or by bike. The house itself has just been completely renovated, inside and out. We have worked to make it a calm and inviting space, painting and decorating with neutral colors and prioritizing natural light. Unlike many cottages, this house has spacious bedrooms and plenty of areas to relax and unwind. The kitchen is well equipped and there are 2 fridges - so plenty of space to store food for the family. There is a separate laundry room/pantry off the kitchen with a washing machine, dryer, larger fridge and microwave. The sitting room has a large bay window and opens to the conservatory which gets the lovely afternoon light - a great spot to relax and unwind and watch nature at its best. There is a dining room with a large bay window - also a good space if you need to work from home.The garden is nearly half an acre of natural forest plants with a patio, picnic table, and a large area of grass. A great area for the children to run around and play. Guest access This rental includes full access to the whole house and garden. The property is completely fenced/hedged and has its own entry gates. There is parking in the drive for 2-3 cars. Though the house is in the middle of an idyllic New Forest Village, it is easy to get to from the motorway. It is close to Lyndhurst, which has lots of nice shops, great places to eat and the New Forest Visitors Centre. It is also just a short drive to the seaside and several other attractions including the Beaulieu Car Museum, Bucklers Hard Maritime Museum, Other things to note This is a very quiet and peaceful village, because of this it is very important to respect the neighbours and surroundings. The property is insured for a maximum of 6 people only and we request that absolutely no parties be held while you are staying here. We want you to feel at home and enjoy yourself but please keep in mind that this is our family home and has recently been refurbished. The BBQ must be kept in its specific location due to insurance rules and the safety of the thatched roof. 1 dog maximum allowed, we ask that you please make sure the neighbours are not disturbed by the dog.
