Cosy and comfortable 3 bedroom log house located in the desirable Izumikyo area, only minutes away from Grand Hirafu ski resort. 1.5km from the town centre of Hirafu ski resort area (4 min drive, 17 min walk) and 1.8km to the nearest chairlift/gondola (5 min drive, 20 min walk). There are many great places to eat in the surrounding area. The space Close enough to the action but far enough from the hustle and bustle of the town centre. Prior to guests arrival, all touch surfaces in our property (light switches, door handles, handrails, bench tops etc) will be cleaned with alcohol and hand sanitiser made available for your health and safety. Bed linen will be supplied by the local dry cleaning company to ensure guests are provided with fresh and properly cleaned sheets. Marlo House has 3 bedrooms and can comfortably sleep up to 6 people (2 bedrooms with twin beds and 1 bedroom with a queen size bed). Well equipped kitchen with basics provided (salt, pepper, olive oil). Updated bathroom with toiletries provided. Washing machine (no dryer) and drying racks/hangers available to use. Living area has an air conditioner (summer), heated flooring under the rug (winter) and a smart TV for watching Japanese TV, Youtube, Netflix (own account required) etc. Free Wifi throughout the property. There is a heated dry room available for storing skis/snowboards and boots (in winter). Guest access There is a free shuttle bus which services the area and ski resort in winter (operating dates vary each season). The nearest shuttle bus stop is 160m (2 min walk) from the property. A rental car is not necessary but is recommended, especially for families or if you are planning on visiting other ski resorts or onsens. Plenty of parking available on the property. *Please note in winter, parked vehicles may need to be moved in the morning so the snow clearers can clear the area. If arriving to Hokkaido by plane, we recommend taking the bus from Sapporo (New Chitose) Airport which will take you to the Welcome Center in Hirafu and will take approximately 2.5-3.0 hrs. *Please note: during peak winter season, we recommend booking the bus several weeks/months in advance to ensure seat availability. Although we endeavour to pick up guests from the Welcome Center bus stop upon arrival, WE CANNOT GUARANTEE this service due to work & family commitments. In such cases you will need to catch a taxi to the property. If catching the train from the airport, the nearest station is Kutchan. You will need to catch a taxi to the property (approximately 3,000yen). We may be able to arrange pickup/drop off from this location for a fee BUT CANNOT GUARANTEE AVAILABILITY.
