This Historic District is known for frequent historical events & festivals. The Family Arena & casinos are nearby; St Louis is minutes away. My cottage is located in a great, residential walking neighborhood with everything nearby. Friends, family and guests tell me they love the ambience and feel very safe, relaxed and peaceful when they come here for a visit. Guests will have a private bedroom and unattached bathroom. They are able to utilize other spaces such as the kitchen, living room, family room, porch or patio. Or reserve those rooms in advance for private use. I like to welcome folks and visit with guests some, but want my guests to decide what makes them the most comfortable. St Charles is a quaint little city nestled along the Missouri River with extensive history dating back prior to the Lewis & Clark Expedition. Along with an extensive amount of historical buildings and homes are museums, antique shops, gift shops, wineries, restaurants, bars, an Art Center, a casino, concerts and events at the Family Arena, a convention center and the Katy Trail. St Charles offers many free festivals, re-inactments and fun family events through out the year; as well as free musical concerts during the summer. St Louis is located minutes away and offers a great deal of interesting sights, history and attractions as well. Bike rentals are available on Main Street St Charles 5 blocks away. Taxis, SCAT bus & free trolleys are available, as is Uber and Door Dash. If flying in to St. Louis Lambert Airport pickup/return; as well as limited transportation through the Corner Cottage may also be available with advanced notice and reservations. This is a pet-free and smoke-free environment.
