By car: drop off luggage then find on-road parking further up Church St or park at one of the 3 longstay car parks. These are Church St YO22 4AS; Marina YO21 1YN; Abbey Headland YO22 4JT. In the heart of the historic East Side with immediate access to its fabulous facilities and sights including Whitby Abbey, Tate Hill Beach, East Pier. A short walk across the Swing Bridge gives access to the harbour side, main beach and town centre. Other things to note Although there is no onstreet parking immediately outside there is unlimited drop off allowed. See section on Guest Access. Onstreet parking can sometimes be found further down Church St and Church St Public Car Park is roughly a 100 metres away. There is also the large Marina car park to the rear of the Co-op in town and one on the West Cliff. There is also a very large car park to the rear of the Abbey. To use the latter, do drop off luggage first, follow signs to the Abbey, park, then enjoy coming down the 199 steps. Please note we do not have visitor parking permits.
