A View of the Corniche (adults only)

Une Vue de la Corniche (adults only) is a charming, independent cottage, 80m square, with a stunning view and a salt water pool. Stable doors lead from the decked terrace to the living room, with sofa bed, coffee table, chairs, beams, terracotta floor tiles and naturally finished stone walls. There is a spacious kitchen, utility room, shower and toilet. The staircase leads up to a double and twin (or double) bedroom, a bathroom and separate toilet. The pool is close by, down a short pathway. The space Une Vue de la Corniche is a renovated barn belonging to a 19th century farmhouse which is on a 3.8 hectares estate in rural SW France. Separated by a large indoor/outdoor barn and stables, the gite is private and independent. Directly facing the Pyrenees, the gite is intended to be a tranquil place to inspire, re-energise and relax. We respect diversity and inclusion and wholeheartedly welcome guests from all backgrounds and cultures. There is a sofa bed and two easy chairs with coffee table in the living room and an entrance to the right of it takes you into the spacious, equipped kitchen, with new fridge freezer, gas hob with extractor hood, kettle, cafetiere, dining table and four stools. Beyond here is the utility room with a washing machine, iron, ironing board, and hot water tank. Beyond here is a downstairs toilet and shower room. Upstairs is a twin bedroom on the right with chest of drawers and a rail to hang clothes. The beds are divans and can be joined together to make a large double bed if required. There is space on the landing for storage. A second landing gives access to a separate toilet, and a bathroom with Jack & Jill doors as it adjoins the master bedroom, which has a double bed, chest of drawers and a rail to hang clothes. The water and heating is electric. Outside there is space to have a barbeque, decking, table and chairs to relax and enjoy the view. Plenty of parking space by the gite. A short stroll across from the gite is the salt water pool, available in season, as it is not heated, but 26-30 degrees in the height of summer! This is 10x 5m and 1.7m deep throughout. It is very private with great views. While we give priority to gite guests to use the pool between 10am and 8pm and respect their privacy, it is used discreetly by any main house guests when gite guests are NOT present. This can be discussed on arrival. There is plenty of space around the pool with sun loungers and parasols. Across and to the right of the gite are the 2 donkeys and 4 goats. They love human contact and the occasional bite-size carrot or apple if you really want to make friends! You can walk through the fields and bond with the animals-just always please close the gates :-) We also have 2 cats who spend most of their time outside, but know to come home at feeding time. Red kites are a common sight here as are many other beautiful birds and wildlife. This property is designed for adults 18+ to come and relax, enjoy nature and the tranquil surroundings. Guest access A car is essential here. Parking is just to the left of the gite on the grass. Guests have access to the gite, the gite garden, the pool and the fields, providing they are kind to the animals and close the gates! :-) Other things to note Adults 18+ only No pets For winter rents the heating is not included (from October to April )
