Greenwood Cottage - Charming Spacious Retreat

Greenwood Cottage is a charming rural escape for up to 8 guests. Nestled in a peaceful setting surrounded by trees and birdsong, it offers a spa pool for ultimate relaxation and a break from city life. Conveniently located near Ōtaki Gorge, shops, beaches, and Kapiti Coast wedding venues, this private retreat is 5 minutes to Ōtaki shops and 10 minutes to the beach. For smaller groups, our stylish new Greenwood Bungalow sleeps up to 3. Both properties can be booked together for larger parties. The space The cottage has been newly remodelled and includes a private entrance, outdoor seating area and spa pool (jacuzzi/hot tub) access. The cottage is semi attached to the main house, with a causeway between that buffers most sound. Feel free to wander through the gardens and visit the chickens. Must be dog friendly as there are two small dogs on site. There is a queen bed downstairs in the main living space as well as two bedrooms and shower, accessed up stairs. The main room upstairs is open plan and includes a queen bed and two single beds (suitable for children or young adults). There is a quite private room with a queen bed upstairs, accessed through the upstairs bathroom. Not suitable for guests with limited physical ability for showering although there is a toilet downstairs along with laundry facilities. Tea and coffee, bread, butter, jam, milk and fresh eggs provided, and some cooking facilities (electric jug, toaster, range top and microwave - no oven). Free Wi-Fi and TV with ChromeCast, DVD player and extensive collection of DVDs, indoor and outdoor games provided. Beach towels provided. **Pricing is based on double occupancy. Extra guests (beyond 2) are charged an additional fee of $45NZD per night. Please note 2 beds are appropriate for children or small adults. The cottage is not suitable for toddlers, as there are multiple height risks. Guest access Our property is large and you are free to take a walk around, I do work from home and we are available to answer any questions but we will ensure you have privacy during your stay. Feel free to pick some fresh lemons or collect some limes. In autumn there are a variety of fruit trees providing a sweet treat. In summer pick your own lavender and if you like we can teach you how to make your own lavender wand. Other things to note We are on town water so all taps have potable water but we use a septic system so please be cautious about what you put down the drain or loo.
