THE PROPERTY Royal Mile Mansions is sited in an imposing 19th Century mansion building (circa. 1880). The most impressive aspect of the property is the enormous 33ft/10m dual aspect living room/lounge area with 12ft/4m ceilings. There is a large, seated, bay window area (comfortably seats 6), which is fantastic for watching the hustle and bustle of the Royal Mile below. The property is equipped with secure entry with 24hr HD-CCTV throughout the building and benefits from the following features & amenities: - Smart lock: Two electronic fobs allow entry to the building and the apartment available from the Keynest office close by at Waverley Station. - Sound System: The property benefits from a SONOS sound system which is connected to a 65" wall-mounted, Ultra HD 4K flat screen television set up for Netflix etc (but not regular channels). - Lighting: The property also offers a multi-coloured LED lighting system throughout. Choose from predefined ‘scenes' (or create your own) – whether you want an intimate romantic dinner for two, chilling out after a day of tourist visits, getting some work done or relaxing with your favourite tunes, it's got you covered!. - Electric roller blinds: There are 7 large windows in the living room. If you want some privacy, they all raise and lower in unison at the touch of a button (wall mounted remote next to iPad) or can be individually controlled if you prefer. - Heating: All the radiators are ‘smart', They are individually thermostatically controlled and adjustable via a light touch on the control panel to adjust temperature . The host will set these remotely prior to your arrival. - Double & triple glazing: windows in the lounge/kitchen are double glazed. The bedroom windows are double glazed and also equipped with secondary glazing and thick tweed curtains – despite being in the centre of the city, the bedrooms are relatively quiet. Instructions to operate the heating etc. can be found in the house manual. Guest access There are arrangements in place such that guests can gain access/check-in themselves. Other things to note Note: Although there is elevator access from the ground floor to floor 1, there is a small flight of stairs leading up to the apartment from the elevator (10 steps). In addition, the shower is located in the bath tub which may not suit all guests. Beds: Master bedroom - Double bed. Second bedroom - Double bed. Livingroom - One double sofa bed: pull out kind with sprung mattresses. Livingroom - There is also the option of a single, foldaway-type bed.
